Glass Safety Glasses in Plastic Smoke Gray Safety Frame with Permanent Side Shields, 50mm Eye Size, Clear Glass Lenses

I had been given a pair of these glasses in the 70' and they lasted 25 years. The sad thing is they are not availble anywhere and I have been trying to replace these glasses for at least the last 20 years. They are clear, do not fog and best of all scratch resistant and very comfortable for long term use, little or no distorsion. They might not be sexy but I would rather have a pair that is clear and comfortable especially if you are wearing them for long periods. The nice thing is they come with a nice case with a snap clip - I love these so much I will be ordering two more pairs just because they were so hard to find. Companies do not like these because they are expensive compared to the cheapo's that cost a buck to supply their employees. If you are a wood worker or a machinist these are the best and you want have these , I also had a pair brasing glasses that were made by the same people which was just as great.

These are the best safety glasses I have owned. They feel very heavy, but thats just because Im used to the cheap plastic ones. I think they look great too. The only issue I had with them is that they slide down the nose when you sweat. The ear pieces do give a little, but do not bend them that far or they will break! The solution to this is to put about an inch of heat shrink on each side where it contacts the back of your ear.

First off the lenses are real glass. That attracted me to this product. However it is low quality glass that gives you a headache within 10-15 minutes of use

way better than the cheap-o all plastic ones. Does not fog up and keeps crap outta my eyes... looks kinda nerdy/hipster but those guys are always stealing fasion from non-fasion, I mean, the lumberjack look...come on...hehehe But in all seriousness, they are good glasses, a little heavier than the cheap-o plastic ones but if you want a nice, solid, durable, quality set, these are it. Get a better strap, the included one is a bit wimpy, it will work long enough to figure out what kind you want to replace it with. Treat them well, use a case when not on your head and they will last you as long as you want.

I am hoping that the glass lenses will retain their clarity for a long period of time. If they do, these glasses will be worth the price. The fit of the glasses is pretty good. I have a large head so I am not experiencing the glasses falling off my face like some users. There is a narrow wire frame inside the plastic frame which gives the glasses some memory. Because of this, they dont sit exactly straight on my face. Any time I bend them I end up overshooting and they are crooked the other way. Its not a major defect. It is why I give these glasses 4 and not 5 stars.

OK I like the glass which is much better than those easily scratched up plastic lenses. True, they are heavier than plastic and the frames are a little large on my face which probably only causes me problems when I am bundled up for single-digit temps with face masks, neck gaitors, hard hat liners, etc. It all gets a bit bulky. I love the design of the side shields which fold up from the middle of the lens, allowing the glasses to fit compactly into any standard sized case. The biggest plus and the biggest drawback is that these have progressive tint lenses-something you'd expect in much more expensive glasses. They are great when I am working outdoors and they automatically darken. However, when I come inside to use a vise or power tool, they take forever (over 15 min) to return to clear and I have to have another pair of clear plastic lenses standing by. Still haven't found the one-pair-suits-all solution to my safety glasses problem.

Don't mind the pic lol. Glasses are great does everything they say the would do my only dislike is the side shelds not being able to remove be easier to clean other than that I'll buy them again if something happens to them for sure I wear them for 8to10 hours 5 days awesome with no problem..of and I like the grand ma keeper string . So your not setting them down if need to remove them off you're face.

These are the most amazing glasses ever. I wore them into surgery the other day, and the whole room stopped to look at me. Through the clear acrylic side shields, I saw the OR nurses checking out these cool specs. Solid construction and great coverage. I highly, highly recommend this super sexy eyewear.
