JOBSTAthletic Knee 8-15 Closed Toe Sock, White, Large

I buy these for my mother because her legs swell and cause pain - these are the only support stockings she will wear because they never run and they stay up - don’t stretch out and they are roomy in the toes and don’t cut her at the top. Have ordered several times and they last a long time and we wash in the washing machine every wearing so that tells you how durable they are. Great stockings!

I bought these socks hoping to alleviate some chronic leg pain. By comparison to more aggressive compression socks I often use for walking, the compression 'numbers' advertised for these socks seem to be accurate. As such, these socks, IMO, are a candidate for night time usage. And, I've personally found them to be sufficiently comfortable when sleeping. Finally, I haven't really used them enough to evaluate construction quality, but as of this writing, I'd say they are more than sufficient for my purpose in that regard.

Wonderful product. Just what I wanted. However, I paid for two (pairs of socks) but received only one pair.

I wear both the Jobst Athletic Knee-High socks and the Jobst SensiFoot diabetic compression knee-high sock  Jobst 110833 SensiFoot 8-15 mmHg Unisex Knee High Diabetic Mild Support Socks - Size & Color- White, Large . I want to mention the difference between these two excellent socks. The Athletic socks are a tighter fit and seem to provide a higher compression factor. Both are rated 8-15mm but I rate this sock at the higher end of the range vs the Sensifoot sock. That makes the Athletic sock require more effort to put on. I find it needs multiple pulls and some tweaking here and there to get it smooth. The Sensifoot sock can be slipped on in one pull just like a regular sock. Both socks provide comfortable leg compression for a full days use without a problem (for me) but if I am doing a lot of physical work or exercising at the gym, I prefer the Athletic version. For general wear, I like the SensiFoot sock because it goes on so much easier and it is an inch or so longer, reaching fully up to the knee. On the downside, the SensiFoot sock is thicker and therefore a bit warmer to wear. I don't find that a real problem where I live but it is something to consider since I also wear a thin regular sock over the compression socks to reduce heel wear. I highly recommend both these socks.

My doctor prescribed wearing 8-15mm knee high compresson socks (except when in bed) to help reduce the swelling of my feet and lower legs - in fact, my doctor pulled up his pants to reveal he wears them also.Our local pharmacy carries only the Jobst ForMen 8-15mm knee-high socks in black, so I was pleased to find on Amazon that these socks come in white also, and also there is this white athletic model which is my favorite - it has the same shape and same compresson as the ForMen sock but is made with a softer material. It took only about 3 days to get used to these compression socks - after that, I found my legs/feet felt more comfortable with these than with regular or no socks.I wash mine in the washer on the Warm water setting, and I don't put them in the dryer, but hang them to air dry. The instructions say the ForMen model will tolerate a dryer set on Low temperature, but to air dry the Athletic model. To avoid mistakes, I air dry all my Jobst socks.

Why state in the description that there are 2 socks??? It mislead me and I’m sure for plenty others!! Why not state 1 pair?? For this high price I thought I was getting a deal for 2 pairs!!!

Good price for a pair of pressure socks. Fit well and do the job.
