Fun but could be better balanced to play against each other
I'm pretty new to MTG. I've never built a deck, only done a few casual pre-con tournaments during lunch breaks at the office. A few people brought in Duel Decks which were fun to play and well balanced, so I thought I'd pick this up and bring it in.The Clash Pack is apparently a new thing, which is meant to combine the idea of duel and event decks. This can either be played as two separate casual deck, or combined into a single 'near tournament' level deck that's very good with a little augmentation. The problem is it's trying to do a little too much and the balance suffers. The 'Fury' deck is significantly stronger than the 'Fate' deck. It's meant to rely on large, high-cost creatures with monstrosity that take a while to bring out and power up. The problem is that there are tons of lesser creatures that double as mana or that add to the mana pool in some way. In every match I've played so far, the creatures come out and bulk up fast.It might not be so bad but it also contains a number of powerful ways to regain life, the idea being that you're going to take a beating before your big guys come out and you might need it.On the plus side, this gave me the chance as a novice to try to re-balance the decks myself, which was fun and interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing if they're better matched now and tuning them further.

Exactly What I Was Looking For
I got a pretty sweet recommendation on a build for the deck that only utilizes three singles outside of the deck. I haven't managed to play the revised addition, though I'll post the build after the review. At first the clash seems pretty one-sided, though Fate's abundance of flying creatures can overpower Fury if you don't get enough lands to summon cards earlier on, leading to a slow start. For Fury, there's not much room for being mana-less at the beginning, though it gets a lot easier to acquire it once you get truly rolling. I thought slow starts would be uncommon, but I did manage to lose pretty heavily at one point. However, when combined, I would say this deck, along with the singles added (2 extra Broods and a God of Horizons) make it a fairly good deck for the price. If you're just getting into the game and can use the extra ~$10 for the singles, or even without them, I feel you can do effective with the combined deck. The build I mentioned:4 Elvish Mystic1 Hypnotic Siren2 Voyaging Satyr3 Kiora's Follower1 Kruphix, God of Horizons1 Courser of Kruphix3 Karametra's Acolyte2 Horizon Chimera3 Nessian Game Warden1 Prognostic Sphinx1 Prophet of Kruphix1 Arbor Colossus3 Hydra Broodmaster1 Genesis HydraOther Spells (8)1 Font of Fertility2 Divination1 Aetherspouts2 Jace's Ingenuity1 Fated Intervention1 Curse of the SwineLands (25)1 Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx1 Temple of Mystery16 Forest7 IslandSideboard (15)2 Plummet2 Negate2 Omenspeaker2 Pin to the Earth2 Reclamation Sage2 Griptide3 Nylea's Disciple

Know Why You're Buying It
This set of decks is an interesting mix. It has some major pros and cons as well. It all depends what you want it for as to whether or not it’s a good buy for you.Buy it if you want a lot of sweet rares. Building these decks from buying singles would seriously bankrupt you. So from that aspect it’s fantastic. It’s also good if you are looking for a good way to teach someone the game. Now I’m not saying the decks are balanced. They are clearly skewed towards the red/green deck. There are some very specific cards that blow up the blue/green one and it ramps crazy fast! The blue one on the other hand doesn’t have enough cards to tempo out against the green. And that is really their only chance. So if you are looking for two balanced decks just to play against each other, then I would probably skip this. Because of the above mentioned deck unbalances. That being said, it is a really good buy I would recommend. You get some great rares. Some foils (if that’s your thing), and alternate art to boot. Now if I could just find a good pre-con control deck to match that green/red, then I would be a happy guy. Let me know if anyone knows of a good one to purchase.

Fate vs. Fury core deck set 2015
Bought these to get into magic and they are actually pretty strong if you use them right. The pack give you a fate(blue green deck) and a fury(red and green deck.) At the moment my green and red deck is undefeated because it’s creatures abilities give you so much mana. The blue green deck is still strong but If you had more cards I would make minor changes. But there are a lot of enchanting creatures in this deck including one that allows you to one of your opponents creatures and make it yours and also makes it flying. But all in all the decks are great!

This is nice a set for anyone just getting into the game
This is nice a set for anyone just getting into the game, or if you've played but don't have many of the older cards...or want several good rounds without having to build custom decks each time. My son and I use it "as is" - it travels well (everything fits in the included cardboard box) and provides pre-built decks for two people. We alternate who gets which deck for extra variety. After we're bored with the "as is" version we can customize as we wish...and the set includes a deck list, so we can rebuild the originals if we want. Includes a few good cards, and some nice-looking foils. Only green, red, and blue cards.

Balanced decks against each other for a quick throwdown with something new.
This is just another average dual deck pack. There is nothing wrong with it, at all, but there is nothing special about it either. I have played a couple of rounds with my son, and we enjoyed it, but don't expect to take these to a Friday night match and do anything with them. What they are meant for is to just grab them, and to be able to quickly play a balanced game without taking the amount of time required for building decks, or for beginners still learning the game. With a few adjustments, the seasoned player could use these for a base, and improve on them greatly if they wish and have a competitive deck in local games.
