Great Buy!
I read the user reviews and prepared myself for something that was going to let me down. This was COMPLETELY unnecessary. These machetes are amazing! I used them to chop down the overgrowth in my yard, and it worked exactly how I wanted it to. If you have a stalk that you need to cut or some brush to clear, these blades will work great and not break! For the price, I can't imagine finding a better deal, and these are just nice blades regardless of how low the price. I haven't, and won't use these blades on bark that is more than 4 or 5 inches thick, but maybe i'm just being conservative. If you've ever seen an anime when someone cuts a tree and the cut is so smooth that the tree doesn't immediately move as if there was no slice, and then gravity slowly pulls the chopped plant toward the ground: these blades do that...

great blades
Although the blades are thinner at the tip than i had imagined, they none the less are a great buy for sheet metal cut blades. the handles are cheap and made to fit together, but way better if you just wrap them in some paracord. they have a nice weight to them, and are decently sharp, can always sharpen them more yourself. the sheath is garbage, but who buys these for a sheath??

Maybe not the perfect machete, but a great deal
I knew going into this that I wasn't ordering a textbook machete, but I figured that for two blades, at this price, how could I go wrong?I was a little surprised to find that the lower portion of the blade is serrated, which does not appear in the pictures, but overall the blades appear well-machined and solid. The blade came at least a little sharp, but not what I would consider field-ready. A few minutes with a file and finishing with a stone and it was sharp enough to cut through twine easily (my test for whether I want to go after my suburban jungle in the back yard with it). It held its edge surprisingly well, although I did avoid slamming the blade into any rocks or other steel objects, so I'm not sure if it would nick up quickly given more abuse. Like other reviewers, I think it's fair to say that if you don't abuse it, and consider it as a tool, then it will serve quite well. The handles aren't much to brag about - they are essentially just nylon lacing wrapped around the steel blank. I wrapped some extra hockey tape around them and will probably add more material in the future because the first time you strike any sort of solid plant (for me it was a branch about 3/4" in diameter), you will get quite a sting from the transferred force. Needless to say, glad I was wearing work gloves or I may have come out with bruised palms.Overall, pleased with this buy. Two very good blades for less than the price of other single ones... I don't have any idea what the point of the magnets it, but they are pretty easy to ignore so I'm not really counting them in here.... I suppose that, at the very least, they keep the blades from moving around much in the holster.

Perfect for the Gardening ninja.
While the package took just a little longer than I expected to arrive, I was not disappointed. The factory sharpened swords were exactly what I wanted and perfect for looking cool. While I would rather use a crowbar if I were to fight someone, these do a great job for scaring pesky kids off my lawn and they work great for trimming light shrubbery.I really like how the swords came with plastic coverings for the tips to prevent damage to the sheathe and generally, was satisfied with my purchase. While both swords had some stains, they were easily wiped off with a little isopropyl alcohol, however oil stains these blades easily(just by touching the sword blades, the oil on my skin left marks).Pros:- Inexpensive- Blades look cool- Came sharpened- Came with tip-protectors- Decent sheathe(as long as you don't be rough with it).- Magnets in front of blade help with sheathing them.- Totally freaks the neighbors out.(Ninja outfit: $60 Swords: $20Look on neighbors' faces when a ninja is doing garden work? Priceless.)Cons:- came a little later than I expected (about one day after latest expected delivery date).- Grips may be uncomfortable to those with soft hands. Wear gloves or get used to the handles causing calluses on your hands.- Not amazingly sharp, but at least it's sharpenedStill, for the price, these are amazing and I rate 8.8/10.

WAIT!!!!!
No doubt you will be browsing "machetes" and see these a bit down the list and think, "OMG, I MUST HAVE THOSE!" That's what I did. They are probably the coolest things I have seen in a while, but useful? I got them two days ago, and have been nonstop sharpening, and they are still dull. It is a huge pain. And what you can't see in the picture is that from the point where the blade turns back in to almost the handle is all serrated. That isn't good for chopping brush. You have to hit the branch just right with the last 8" in order to get a good chop. In hindsight I wish I'd just ordered a more common machete. If these weren't so cool looking, I would definitely give it a lower rating.

I bought these for my wife, she likes sharp things, and she is crazy about them. We live in a not so great area so when she hears something outside these are the first things she grabs for. pretty sturdy. When they arrived they needed some touching up, tips were bent from poor handling during shipping, but a few minutes with a stone and they were perfect. We played a bit of fruit ninja and they sliced through an apple like butter.
