Update: (2024, bought 2018) This porch mat is still 6 years later working well, and still together and in great condition. It's gone through rain, ice and snow and still looks good and performs well. I wanted a fancy wrought iron door mat. Hubby told me to look for one made from tires as they lasted for many years, were durable and non-skid. After reading reviews of the pretty ones falling apart of moving around or being slippery, and reading how good ones from tires were, I was sold. It looks like it looks in the picture. It's not that pretty, let's be honest. But it does work well and looks decent on the porch. I've only had it less than a year, but it did well through both rain, snow and ice (hubby did sweep snow off and scrape ice). It's also not slippery when wet and doesn't slide around. I would suggest ordering the biggest heaviest one you can (they are surprisingly heavy) as I think you'll be happier with it vs one only covering part of a porch or step (steps on this one vs full porch for me). Be sure and measure because there are several sizes and you don't want it hanging off the step. And if you go too small you may not have as good a result as larger (both feet on it with lots of room). I ended up with the largest size that would fit, and I'm glad I didn't go smaller. I anticipate it will last for many years and hope that it does. It's well made and high quality. It's not as pretty as some, but for one made from tires, this was the best value, highest rating and most attractive one I could find. I'm glad I listened to hubby and didn't waste money on a cheap mat that would be slippery and fall apart in a few years. He's seen many of these over the years and thought this one was high quality.

Finally, a door mat that doesn't need to be in a covered place like a porch. The rain runs right through it and so far has not frozen into ice on it. The mat is super heavy duty, and physically heavy so there's no chance it blows away or get accidentally moved a lot. Good texture for getting mud off shoes before coming indoors. It looks great too, but most happy to finally find a truly FUNCTIONAL doormat. This was not our first try but the first that actually works well while exposed to the elements.

A previous owner of a house I owned years ago left this mat and I loved it. Wish I had held onto it when I moved. I have bought 3 different disappointing door mats always wishing I could find this one. I finally tried an internet search using the words I could think of to describe it: "linked rubber mat". Woo-hoo! I wish I could have afforded the largest size "just because" it would have visually fit the space better. It is heavy and stays in place while I scrape the mud off my shoes (gardener) and is easy to clean! Just perfect. It will likely outlast the house.

I purchased this outdoor mat to use at the base of the stairs leading up into my RV travel trailer. I put the mat to the ultimate test during a recent vacation to Goblin Valley and Moab, Utah. I always camp "off the beaten path", far away from level ground and cleanliness of camp grounds. Despite the blazing sun and constant exposure to sharp rocks, sand, and mud, the mat shows zero sign of wear. It did a wonderful job of keeping the vast majority of the sand out of my trailer. This thing is built like a tank. The thickness of the mat and the spacing of the gaps between the tread sections allows you to vigorously stomp and scrape mud and debris off your boots. The ability to roll up the mat for storage is an added bonus! As long as an envious neighbor doesn't steal this mat, I have no doubt it will be a lifetime investment!

Bought this because I was tired of the mat we had always holding water when it rained and often scooting away when the wind blows. This mat was the solution to my problems. It stays put in high winds, doesn’t hold water and makes it easy to scrape my shoes off. Being made in the USA is a huge plus to me. I’ve bought more than one because of how durable it is. Sure it costs more than the cheap crap from you know where, but it stays put and will outlast all the others. Just make sure if you have a storm door that you have enough clearance for these type of mats.

This is my 4th mat of this type. These are heavy duty. When you've got mud on your boots this will easily scrape it off. We have clay here on the farm that really sticks to your boots, you can get it off the bottom of your boots with this mat. It is easily cleaned, you pick it up and take it somewhere you don't mind the mess and hose it off with a nozzle. It is well made and heavy so it doesn't slide around during use. This is our first line of defense against tracking in mud. We have these at 3 doors for the house and 1 just inside the workshop to help keep the mud out. I like the sizes I have, 2x3 & 2x4, and expect them to last many years like the smaller versions I have had.

Fantastic mat! Tough and effective for snow, mud and debris on wet boots. Used it all winter now into spring and its great. I bought several more for my exterior doors top and bottom of stairs and bottom of deck stairs. (We have a farm so we need good mats. This one is excellent and tough! And great value!

Yes this mat totally met my expectations and more. It is well made and will last for ever. I used a small light chain and secured it to the iron railing at my front steps so that someone doesn’t take it. All I can say it that I’m totally pleased with it and would recommend it!
