Sturdy and strong
Ordered size 8 from Amazon UK. I usually wear an 8 in sneakers and 7.5 in everything else. I ordered an 8 because that was the size equivalent when I measured my foot in cm and looked at the size chart. There is about half and inch (no more) wiggle room in the front to accommodate the very thick socks you'll likely wear with these. Very cute. Height reaches to about the lower calf.

Gorgeous boots!
Amazing boots only they run small. I normally take a size 8 so ordered 8 1/2 from another store so I could wear them with a boot sock. I could barely get my foot in the boot with a regular sock. Ordered a size 9 from Amazon. Boot fits great with a normal sock. Plenty of room for movement of toes to prevent cold feet. Decided to keep them because a size 9.5 would be too bulky. Hoping the wool liner prevents the need for a heavier sock. I love that the liner is removable and the boots are well made, super comfortable, flexible, light weight, and so pretty. Haven’t worn in the snow yet but will add to this review when I do!

Boot runs small
I love the look and so disappointed that size 9 didn’t fit, I’ve never worn anything higher then a 9 in any shoe but thinking I may need a 10

Runs small and narrow
Quality of the boot was outstanding, but likely due to my wide forfoot and high instep, it was a challenge to get on and my toes started to go tingly almost immediately after putting on. I’m going to exchange for a half size larger to 8.5 even though I am a true 8

Obsessed
I went a size bigger based on suggestions to allow for doubled or thicker socks and this worked like a charm. These are so comfortable and look very nice. I am almost excited for the next snow….almost 😂

Buffalo Warm
Finally had an opportunity to use these boots actually sooner than I thought. Live in Buffalo snowbelt and we just had record snow fall...they work fabulous...not cold or wet when my feet were buried yesterday....Sorel lives up to its name!

Okay
Doesn't come up as high as I'd hoped. Warm, sturdy, etc. In hindsight, I wish I'd bought boots that zip. Tightening the laces is a bummer. In the end, I just ignored them, the boots stay on fine without tight laces.

Lovely and warm, need to buy one size bigger as they are narrow and sole is thin
I bought these boots as I had already a pair of Sorel Caribou, which I loved they had a real comfortable sole (I have arthritis in my feet) I walked all terrains in them, they were so warm with a warm sock inside that could be taken out after years I had a little hole where rubber had worn. I bought these half a size bigger to allow for swollen feet.My new Joan of artic are really warm with the fur sock, however again I ordered half a size bigger and they are too tight and the sole is so thin that I can feel little stones when I walk over them. Unlike the Caribou they are difficult to get on and off.I bought these instead of the Caribou because they are more feminine looking and I thought they would have the same comfortable sole. I now regret it because sole is thin and they definitely come up smaller than normal size. They do look lovely and are warm!

Tricky to get on depending on foot shape
I bought these for a family member, but unfortunately she suffered the same issues as others have reported and found it incredibly difficult to get them on and off. I am only half a size smaller and found no difficulty in getting the boots on and off, so I don’t think it’s a size issue, but a foot shape/width issue (I have narrow feet). They are lovely boots, well made and comfortable (if you can get your feet inside).I will keep them for myself and look for alternatives for the person they were intended for.Update:I also bought my own size in a different colour and these fit too - the first pair need thick socks, but my size is fine with normal socks. I still get them on easily, so it must be a foot-shape issue if others cannot get them on their feet.I love them.

Really Pleased
Although I have not had the opportunity to wear these yet as I have bought them for the colder snowy weather I can tell they will be fantastic and extremely warm and waterproof. They were a bit difficult to get on at first around the ankle even with the laces loosened as much as possible but with a good shove they went in no problem and came out easily. Excellent quality and great colour. The boots do make my size 7 feet look rather large but they are very comfortable and I can live with the fact that my feet look a bit bigger than they are. I went for a 7.5 as I have one foot slightly bigger than the other and my feet can get quite hot so I wanted some extra room. They don't feel too large in side. They look stylish while being practical. I had seen them on Pintrest and fell in love with them and for this price you cannot go wrong. They are built to last and if you look after them you will certainly get many many years use out of them.

These boots marry Form and Function well! :-)
I wear UK size 5. However, when it comes to boots, I order UK size 6 to have some wriggle room (and thick socks). The item arrived as promised. It was well packed and didn't have any weird smell at all.I read the other reviews and worried that it would be difficult to get into them but I didn't have that problem at all. I made sure I loosened the laces first and tightened them according to how snug I wanted them to be. It looks great and stylish. It didn't look as bulky as my previous North Face Snow Boots. I'm always outdoors and have bad blood circulation (so my cold toes suffer) so I needed a sturdy, comfortable, warm, waterproof and chic-looking pair of Winter boots. Sorel's Joan of Arctic Boots are definitely a winner! Great value for money. Hope this helps.

Great boots but.......
These boots are very well made. I bought a size 6 and they are true to size...the only thing is its REALLY hard to get your foot into them (and i have slim narrow feet!)Once your feet are in these are well comfy and cozy.I returned the boots for the only reason that they were super warm and chunky...i needed something i could walka good distance in and i felt these would become heavy and too warm.If you are going to a very cold snowy climate tho i reckon these would be perfect
