Ju Hua, Chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum morifolium) is a perennial plant with a thickened, more or less branched rhizome. Stems is erect, 25-120 cm tall, sometimes highly branched, with thin branches, abundantly leafy. The stem leaves in small-flowered chrysanthemums are up to 7 cm long and 4 cm wide, and in large-flowered chrysanthemums up to 15 cm long and 8 cm wide. Inflorescence is a basket, consisting of many (up to 1000) reed and tubular flowers. Seeds are tied mainly in tubular flowers.
