AquaPill AP70 SpringPill Swimming Pool Start Up Pill

Mine came missing the pin needed to puncture the seal. But I have tools and was ingenuity, so I was able ro make due and get it punctured. The product works well. Now it should come with the punctering device. But I'm still giving it 5 stars.

I use this every year to open and also to close my pool, it makes everything so much easier it’s just 1 step not 3 or 4 different bottles of various chemicals,

I am so impressed with this little ball of awesomeness! When we opened our pool from the winter, it look like lake water. We were overwhelmed. We tried shocking, filtering, and adding other chemicals with no luck. I got this in yesterday and dropped it in the skimmer like it said to do. I ran the filter for 5 hours last night, and my pool is already getting clear. I figure one more whole day with filtering and I’ll have crystal clear water. The only negative is it didn’t come with the little puncture tool needed to open the ball. I had to figure it out. Overall great product and I will definitely buy again.

This super pill worked great with my pool start up! It usually takes a couple of weeks for me to get the pool clean enough to start swimming by using a standard start up kit. But this pill really gave it a head start! I first got the PH up, did a starting dose of algaecide, put in a needed dose of stablizer and then started the pill. The directions said to poke a hole in the designated spot using a little tool they provide, abd then sit it in the filter basket. The only problem we had was that after it sat all morning the level in the pill, didn't change. So my husband ended up making the hole bigger so it would come out. I put a starting dose of clorine and the clarifier. We could see a big difference in a couple of days in the clarity of the water. By the end of the week we were able to get in! I've never had a pool opening go so quicky! I would have given a 5 star if not for the need to enlarge the hole to get it to come out. But I'm more than satisfied with the effectiveness of the chemicals!

Pool is clear as a bell...even though the pump and filter are not working right now...

Awful. If you are opening a pool this is just a razle/dazzle you ball,ugh! I popped the hole on bottom and placed into my skimmer as instructed. Come back in the morning and the ball has the liquid in it but more diluted, turns out, SeaKlear AquaPills (including SummerPill and SpringPill) are designed for maintenance, clarification, and stain/scale prevention, not as a primary sanitizer or to handle heavy algae. They lack significant amounts of sanitizer (chlorine) and oxidizers required to actually clean a pool, which are shown in the SeaKlear AquaPill WinterPill YouTube video. You will need to add your own sanitizer (shock) to achieve proper water sanitization Just buy the real deal opening kit. I am literally, going thru hell, trying to balance out my pool... Never again on razzle me dazzle me pool item. Especially, when our pool and family and summer fun is too important to us!

It works well. You don't really need instructions and you don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure this out. However, it would be helpful to have the little blue pin to pop the hole in the back. All of these similar systems tend to be missing the little blue pin. I have learned to save mine from past ones. So the instructions are as followed: Shake the ball vigorously for several seconds, this combines the chemicals inside. Next, turn it upside down and use the blue pin. If you happen to have 1. Pop the bottom hole, there's a little circle with an indent, see the picture. If you do not happen to have a blue pin that is supposed to come with the package. You can use a nail and a hammer to do so. You will know you successfully have a hole when there are some chemicals dripping out, it will not be fast, it will be a drip. Last step throw the ball into the pool and let it float, run with the pump until the ball is completely empty. Note: Do not swim with the ball in the pool.

We have a small in ground pool and when we uncovered it the water was green as grass. The spring pill was due to arrive the following day so we vacuumed on waste and added two bags of shock. When the arrived the next day, I used the puncture tool that came with it and put it straight in the skimmer box. After 24 hours our pool is completely clear. I’ve used them for the past several years and will continue to be a customer!

Needed two of these Spring Pills to open the pool, and it quickly cleaned up the water within hours. Will do again next year.

Might work in southern Climates!!
