On the other hand, they're intrusive, and when they get in to the little opening in my roof, it sounds like a marching band is crawling around in the ceiling when I'm trying to sleep. It's with a heavy heart that I recently decided that enough is enough. I tried to purchase one of those owl scarecrows and perch it right in front of the window... it didn't really work, in fact I think it attracted more birds, so I've tried a different approach, and it worked. I hung up the tape (BTW, it's not really 'tape', there is no sticky side) in little 1 foot strips near the opening, and so far...no birds. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Surprisingly effective! It's super shiny and makes a nice fluttering noise, which I think definitely helps to scare away the crows that used to hang out in the trees in our yard. They would climb on the roof, mess up our trees & plants, and cause our dogs to bark. I have had a scarecrow, but that didn't do anything, and tried using another tape before, but it wasn't really effective (it was one color, maybe the red helps scare off the birds?)
