What about the difference between shocks and complete struts?

The structure of the shock absorber is different from that of complete spring struts assembly : Shocks is only a part of the assembly; the complete spring struts assembly consists of a shock absorber,spring,washer,spring top rubber and nut.

shock rod attachment end poorly made

the rod ends were not machined properly, shoulder on rod attachment end was very small, attachment failed in only a few days, shock it self seemed ok but still overall performance was a failure
