The purpose I bought this was to trim the hair from my dog‘s face that kept flopping in her eyes. Very safe long enough for me to be able to hold and Sharp. I wasn’t afraid to put it by her face because it was protected at the ends. I also used it to trim the red stains around her eyes. Don’t get me wrong I had to have the second person with me because she kept jumping around so much, but it is a great pair of scissors that I would recommend you get for a dog or any thing else that you don’t wanna poke good product

I love big, long-haired cats! I rescued a 20 pound Maine Coon mix who had a half-dozen very large mats that were tight against his skin and clearly causing him pain. I wanted to immediately get rid of those mats but the sound of the electric trimmer terrified him. These scissors arrived 12 hours after I ordered them and were the solution. The rounded tips allowed me to slide right up to the mats without tugging on them or scraping or cutting his skin. In about 15 minutes I got all of the mats out and he was a happy guy! The edges of the rounded tips weren't perfectly smooth, but I used them carefully and had no problems. I've since spent a few minutes smoothing the edges with a file and the scissors are now perfect.

Good value. Decently sharp. Only used for mat removal near ears so I was pleased with the rounded tip.

Scissors were nice and sharp and handled well. Years later they are still nice and sharp and serving well.
