Premium Edge Chicken, Rice And Vegetables Puppy Dry Dog Food

If you're looking for some solid puppy food at a mid-range price, go with Premium Edge. There is a good balance of nutrients--not like some of the foods you'll find in your grocery store--and the fat content is reasonable.Here's what sold us on Premium Edge to begin with: we had a eight-year old Sheltie who developed chronic pancreatitis, which can be fatal. Our vet said we could try to manage it with diet or try an expensive surgery that might not work. We did our research and the Premium Edge line was the best option. In the end, Snake lived to be more than 15, and ate Premium Edge Weight Control II until about the last year of his life.So, when we got a puppy last December, there was no question what brand she would be raised on. When she finishes her current bag of puppy food, she'll switch over to Premium Edge Adult. Can't get better than this for the price.

This IS a quality dog food. It's high in protein and has a variety of ingredients, none of which caused me to say "what in the world is that?". Unfortunately for me, though, it turns out that my puppy has sensitivity to gluten, and Barley is the 3rd ingredient listed for this food. I'd recommend this food for someone who wants a high-quality food for their puppy, but doesn't need grain-free. If your dog gets incredibly gassy and has strong smelling, soft poop or loose stools when eating this, I'd suggest switching to completely gluten-free dog food.

I have used this with our puppy now and I used this through their senior line for a dog that we had for 17 yrs. I think its a very good product, without a bunch of junk in it

When we got our pups, this is the food they were being given. They really like it and have been doing very well. They have grown and are healthy. We are now about to switch them to the adult version. I definitely recommend this product.

My dog gets a lot of gas on this food. Great food, (I believe), but the after affects linger. :)

Good Product for a good price. Would order again and probably when our pup gets to be an adult we we order the adult food.

I have used this almost entire life of my Yorkie puppy who is 2 1/2 now. He's very healthy....and likes it!
