Great traveling refrigerator. Especially for medical supplies and cold drinks.
Bought the 85qt in 2020 for our move from Washington State to Texas. Put it in the back of our Sequoia. We kept our snacks and my wife's insulin supply in it. When we stopped at night at motels, I have a small dolly/cart that fit it perfectly. We wheeled the frig into our room and I would change the power cord from DC to AC. Worked like a lifesaver. Literally. It is now 2026 and the unit has been running constantly since the move. We still use it for the insulin and cold drinks in the house. The temperature has never fluctuated, nor has the compressor had any issues. Portability is a tad heavy, but it has handles on each end and the cart has helped. Very easy to set up and operate. Very satisfied with the unit and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Works great!
Iโve had my unit for about a month at this point. It has been used for camping and daily for work. It has kept everything cold and runs super quiet! Iโve read some pretty bad reviews, but I have had nothing but good things to say about the one I received! I have used it to keep drink and lunches cold daily at work and for 2 weekend camping trips in my RV. Itโs runs so quietly that itโs hard to even hear it running inside of the RV. Iโve used it as a freezer for ice and ice cream and it has no problem staying at 0* on either 12v or 120v and just the same results while set at 34* for daily use. I can not say enough good! Iโm gong to buy another soon with the dual zone. There have been a few times in just a month where that wouldโve came in handy! I can imagine how useful itโll be having it in the long term.

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST
The product is nice and their customer service is the worst I've ever seen. In fact, I don't even write reviews online, but I was so compelled to warn people about the crappy customer service I decided to write a review. I've owned it a year and its worked well for me in both refrigerator and freezer mode. I had a single issue with it - it just quit working when the temperature exceeded 100 degrees. It just wouldn't work - on AC, DC or otherwise. I checked and re-checked electrical current with two separate meters to ensure I had the correct voltage. It had proper voltage but the fridge just wouldn't power back on. And I read the manual extensively and tried every trouble shooting measure possible. And I'm very mechanical and experienced with wiring so I can attest that I knew what I was doing. I called customer service to understand this issue better. They won't talk to you via phone - only via email. It usually takes them 2+ weeks to reply and they continue to blame the issue on my electrical current. I actually suspect the unit has a temperature 'high limit' switch which turns off at a certain temp, but it's not possible to get anyone competent to email you. And, even though I begged to talk to someone via phone, they won't. So after 6 emails, I just gave up. Especially after the 6th email told me I had a 'faulty power connection' which I explained was not the problem. Anyway, the product works great. But if there's any other brand out there, I would try to buy another brand first

Fridge Help for Diabetic Heart Failure Patient!!!
I recently got hit with a series of heart attacks and was diagnosed with Diabetes (type 2). After spending 3 long weeks in the hospital- went home and began a PBD (Vegan diet) based on the regiment of the book: "The 30-Day Diabetes Miracle" (EXCELLENT BOOK!) Being on this diet requires lots of veggies/beans/fruits/soy products/flax seed and nuts etc etc. After stocking our fairly large fridge in our kitchen- we found that it was just too crowded and not wanting to travel every other day to get my foods stuff- I decided we needed another fridge- but i did not want to clutter the kitchen or any open area we had available with another bulky upright fridge. So I decided to look into a "horizontal/top opening" fridge that could fit in a recessed area we have between our kitchen and bedroom- problem is that the most of the ones out there are considered "beverage fridges" and are quite large and expensive: $1500.00+ !!! (we have one at our summer home on our deck that came with our house) The other problem with any beverage fridge is that THEY ARE NOT RATED FOR FOOD! So, my next solution was the Whynter 85Qt portable Freezer/Fridge- which I found here on Amazon at the best price. My wife kept telling me its "too small" and just a "glorified electric cooler"... But I proved her wrong! With all the food stuff in the kitchen fridge- it was hard to organize it and remove things easily-- but the Whynter 85Qt allows for easy access and can be organized so that I can remove any pre-cooked meal stored in a container or any plastic bag of veggies or fruit, without other stuff tumbling out of the fridge (BTW my wife is an "organizing expert" and our Whirlpool still got cluttered!) Its also great for stacking neatly, all the soy products and beans that need refrigeration. Its dimensions are: 23"Lx13"Wx18"Deep- definitely bigger than any beach cooler! It fit perfectly in the recessed nook between our bedroom and kitchen entrance and looks awesome there. The compressor is whisper quiet- even when our bedroom door is open- we can hardly hear it! Set up was easy and took no more than 5mins after giving it a quick cleaning. Setting the temp was also extremely easy and it holds the temp i set it to consistently (some minor fluctuations when the compressor kicks in- but does not seem to be a problem at all) I know i made the right move in buying the Whynter 85Qt and its helping me get back to better health! I can't vouch for using it on a camping trip or boat or in an RV- but maybe someday soon we will! PROS: whisper quiet good size considering how much it can actually hold sleek look has locking mechanism on the door (we have a 5 yr old son running around) truly portable when need be CONS: price could be a little lower- or the size a bit bigger- but i still feel I made the right choice! NOTE: can NOT be used as a freezer and fridge at same time- but i don't need a freezer for now I definitely recommend this fridge

not bad overall.
Okay I have had this for a while now. I'm happy for the most part, but a few complaints. To be clear, I use this full time 24/7 as a freezer set to 10 degrees on my sailboat in S.Fl. I removed the handles and installed it with 2" foam insulation front, back, and bottom and 3/4" foam insulation on the sides. I even glued 3/4" foam to the lid. One of the hinges broke already and there is always water sitting where the lid seals. (Doesn't seal very good ). The unit needs defrosted every 2-3 months. Frost free would be nice. It uses more power than I expected it to from the specs. I have solar system and wind generator with amp and volt gauges to monitor power input and output. It draws 6 amps (5.8) when it's running which is a lot more than my fridge (3.5) and here in Fl it runs probably 40 plus minutes an hour. Overall it works and I have icecream and frozen food on my sailboat. It was half price of the top brand and does the trick, but if your off grid like me might want to try the better one. I will be when this one quits.

Very impressed by the capacity.
Considering the extremely small dimensions of the freezer, I was nervous about not having enough room for the hundreds of ice cream sandwiches and drumsticks I needed to pass out at this event, however, I was happily surprised. I think I fit like 120 ice cream sandwiches and 60 or so drumsticks in there. Do I think this item could be manufactured/sold at a more reasonable price tag? Most definitely. However, it is the only one on the market like this that I have seen so it may be more advanced than I give it credit for. I used this freezer for some events that I did for work. I set up on golf courses and clay shooting courses and promote our company. I set it to -5 degrees and it never quite got there.. granted, it was plugged in outside in the Oklahoma heat and in a warm metal shop. It maintained about -2 to 0 depending on how many times people opened it and that was impressive enough to me considering it was upper 90s out. I had some of the guys at our facility make me a solar skid and a battery box as kind of a two in one plug in and display. I know that we also have roll up solar panels that could work with this if you weren't worried about displaying anything, so that would be awesome for camping where you didn't have outlets. The cooler comes with a 12 volt cord that can be plugged into a car too though and that is a super neat feature. Easy to plug and play. Also, note that the handles are super durable and it makes moving the freezer around super easy. Overall love the thing and can't wait to get more and more creative at our events.

The handles are still fine but I wouldn't load it up and move it ...
This was used as a freezer for two weeks in 30 degree centigrade heat. It had no problem keeping the temperature I set of 4 degrees Fahrenheit. The end of the 12v plug fell apart after 1 week and needed to be replaced. The handles are still fine but I wouldn't load it up and move it with the handles.
