I can measure (2) level spoons of this biotin powder, which total about 110 mg. The miniature s.s. spoon set is AMCO Housewares® brand.  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000MOYI5W  A scoop marked "smidge" was leveled via a steak knife. When contents was weighed on my AC-100 digital scale, that measurement fluctuated at 0.05-0.06 g. Thus, each "smidge" is estimated to be about 55 mg. The next larger spoon in that set is marked "pinch". A level "pinch" was measured to contain 140 mg +/- 10 mg. There are other mini measuring spoon sets available, such as https://www.amazon.com/New-Star-Foodservice-42924-Stainless/dp/B00KH9PSNI  However, do not assume that a "smidge" is a consistently equal measurement among various measuring spoon manufacturers. You should purchase a digital measuring scale to verify that your volumetric dose is reasonably close  to your target.

No, but you do have to measure it carefully, with a jeweler's scale is best.  The powder is nearly tasteless and mixes well with most foods.  It will not dissolve in cold or room temperature drinks and hot drinks will render it useless.  Best to mix with food.  I find it easy to take.  Hope this is helpful to you.

Most powders like this dissolve well in glycerine. B7 and B5 are excellent in hair products as they seal the hair cuticles making each strand silkier and less frizzy. No you don’t get the health benefits by putting it on your hair but you will have hair benefits LOL. A side not; our skin is highly absorbing and over 60% of what we absorb enters our blood stream. So actually, you can get some health benefits. Even better reason to not use toxic cosme3tics and hair products.
