Puracy Pet Stain and Odor Remover - Enzyme Cleaner for Dog & Cat Urine and Poop on Carpet, Professional Pet Carpet Stain Remover, Cucumber & Mint, 25oz

I finally broke down and purchased this because I am always looking for a way to bring fewer synthetic products into our home. For years I have been a staunch advocate that Shout Advanced for set-in stains has been the ONLY stain remover that works. My husband gets stains from everything on his work shirts and I often end up re-washing to try and treat stains to get them out before. Food, drinks, oil, grease, dirt, pen, you name it, he gets it on his shirts. Every so often though, the Shout Advanced will totally fail at removing a stain which means replacing the work shirt. And every so often it will remove a stain, but also leech some of the color from where I sprayed it on the shirt (even though past times it was perfectly colorfast) because of the mix of the Shout and whatever gunk makes up the stain. I've tried other brands like Oxy (okay), Carbona (okay as well), Grandma's Secret Spot Remover (didn't work on anything), Seventh Generation (meh), and more, but kept coming back to Shout Advanced. I kept seeing Puracy on all those BuzzFeed "you have to try this" lists, so I figured why not. WHY DIDN'T I TRY THIS SOONER????? This stain spray has worked wonders! No more treating a stain half a dozen times. For almost every single stain, it's treat once and done. I don't have to worry that the stain will end up set in forever if someone puts the laundry in the dryer before I get a chance to pull a shirt and check to see if the stain is still there. Ninety-five percent of the time, Puracy remove the stain. The other 5% is when it's a difficult stain, like filthy, gross, gear lubricant, and then I use the Shout Advanced as well and it more often than not comes out after a second washing. For pet stains (we have bulldog that likes to wipe his slobbery chin on everything knee-height and below after he has breakfast or dinner), this stain remover is excellent as well. So yes, most of the five star reviews for this product are probably real and not bots. It stinks that you can't trust much of anything online anymore when it comes to reviews, which is why I didn't order this sooner. How often does anything anymore REALLY work the miracles its reviews claim it does? I am thrilled that this isn't a product that falls into the category of "Well, got suckered in by that one", but instead is "Holy cow, this product actually DOES work!!!" It makes me want to try the other cleaning products in the Puracy line in the hopes they work as well or even better than the stain treatment does.

Being chemically sensitive has many downsides including making cleaning one's clothes & house & body extra challenging as most products that avoid harmful chemicals or don't have a strong smell are rarely very effective. I thus gave up on trying to find a stain remover many years ago but in rebuilding my health I found I was able to now handle using some Clorox bleach for tough stains. The huge help a rapid & powerful stain fighter brings is so huge vs. endless scrubbing with little impact. However, I kept wishing I could find a non-toxic alternative both for its impact on the environment as well as myself. Thus I tried a few other very highly rated stain removers & was about to give up trying due to each time finding they bring too strong a smell &/or don't work that effectively until this product's great reviews & ingredients made me decide to give it 1 final try. I AM SO GRATEFUL & IMPRESSED THAT THEY WERE ABLE TO COME UP WITH SUCH AN EFFECTIVE NATURAL STAIN REMOVER that works amazingly well for all kinds of tough stains. All it takes is planning ahead so you can give it time to soak for 30 minutes before then either hand washing or throwing it in the washing machine & almost everything comes out like magic so far. This makes it way better than bleach once the environmental & health impacts are factored in & given the added benefit that this can be used on any colour. 6/5/15 UPDATE - I'M EVEN MORE IMPRESSED WITH THIS NATURAL STAIN REMOVER as I just used it successfully to remove some dirt stains from a microfiber cloth used to clean my car windows. Before discovering this stain remover only extensive soaking in undiluted bleach would remove such dirt including when I tried using the fragrance-free Oxi-Clean Baby Stain Remover that had many positive reviews yet left the stains almost untouched. SO GIVEN THEIR TOTALLY NATURAL & ECO-FRIENDLY INGREDIENTS, THEIR EFFECTIVENESS & EASE OF USE IS EXTRA IMPRESSIVE IN THAT NO SCRUBBING OR ANYTHING WAS NEEDED - the stains had just dissolved away by the end of their recommended 30 minute soaking time & without any toxic fumes which makes it extra awesome.

I am one of the pickiest people on earth and it takes a quality product at a quality price to impress me. With that said, I have been looking for that quality product in a form of an organic-based, eco-friendly, natural, plant-based, non-cancer causing product that I will feel happy utilizing in my home. I can honestly say I love this product. It has removed old and new stains ranging from makeup to pet stains, etc. if you are one of those people that need a comparison stain remover for reference?(in my opinion) this works just as great Shout...but better, and here's why... I work in an emergency room and sometimes blood gets on my uniforms(yes its gross) and in the past, I've used Shout, Oxyclean, Fels Naptha and Rit(I also like this but it isn't natural) all claiming to be stain removing. I've ised every gimmicky product on the market that claims to remove stubborn stains. However, none of those items worked consistently and nor where they harsh chemical free. I decided to invest some energy and spend time researching for "cleaner" products for my myself, my family and the mother earth. That search resulted in Puracy with an astonishing amount of positive reviews. As I read them, I realized many of the reviews are by people who have received a sample and I quickly questioned the credibility of this product. However, I have to admit, that I have become one of those people and I am now a believer and repeat customer. I tested this product on my scrubs that had a rather large, already set blood stain, and I threw it into the washer and hoped for the best. To my surprise, the stain disappeared completely without a trace. The stain remover has a squeaky clean/mild citrus smell...comparable to the original formula of Castile Soap. I love clean smelling scents. If a product stinks or smells fake,I will not use it. This scent is very light smelling and even though I have only tested this product a few times, I think it is a great product to the degree that I purchased an additional bottle. This product is expensive and only sort of works. In order to sort of work, you have to use a huge amount. I find myself spraying each stain 5-6 times...and they still don't completely come out. I purchased this product based on reviews and also out of necessity. I am using cloth diapers for my daughter and needed a stain remover that was completely natural for our other clothing and her clothing. Note, I have NOT used it on our cloth diapers because I don't particularly care about stains inside a diaper that's just going to get pooped on again (so my review is not based on stain removal from the diapers, but of our clothing...for everyday stains). I will not be purchasing this product again. I do not believe the other reviewers who say it worked on really tough stains, etc. I am already down to half a bottle and I started using it in January 2015 (1.5 months ago). Update 5/9/16: The company sent me a replacement product to try out because I was dissatisfied with the first bottle I received. It is their updated formula. I do think this formula works better than the last formula. It is a different color FYI. It's a yellowish color, instead of the clear liquid like the first bottle I received. You will need to treat the stain IMMEDIATELY...and soak it in cold water. I apply the stain remover and then rub it in with a toothbrush. I have had success with the product when I treat stains immediately. I have not had success with the product when a stain has sat for awhile. Sometimes this happens because I have a toddler, and her clothing gets stained literally EVERY DAY...by food or from play, etc. Therefore, sometimes I just don't catch the stains right away. I would recommend this product for a natural alternative, but I still keep a stronger stain remover on hand for set-in stains.

Great product, to clean stain

I was at my wits end with carpet cleaning products, each proclaiming that they could remove the deepest and worst stains and orders on the face of the earth. NOT ONE OF THEM WORKED. After another night researching carpet cleaning products this brand popped up on a google search and after reading the reviews and how the product worked I decided to give it a try. If this didn't work I was going to catch my carpets on fire and toss them out the windows. First off this product is very affordable and will go a long way following the instructions. So I went to see if Amazon carried the product and yes there it was along with several of Puracy's other products. I purchased this spray, Puracy Pet Stain and the concentrated carpet clear that you can use in a carpet cleaning machine. I sprayed the Pet Stain remover first, and left it over night. Then having read all the instructions and noted that as a concentrate you would have to go over your carpet several times to remove the cleaning solution from your carpets (No Problem) I proceeded to start the carpet cleaning process. I had to stop multiple times to empty the water reservoir because the soap suds do build up quickly. But Again Not A Problem. I was determined. Keep in mind some stains are going to be with you for life no matter what you try to use on them! The Results are beyond my greatest expectations. The deep stains are gone and the scent was not chemical or over bearing. A few places will need another go over but nothing that is a deal breaker for me using this product. Very very happy with the outcome. I've even used the Puracy Pet Stain on a black t-shirt with old oil stains from cooking and a pair of very dirty nylon tennis shoes, the stains are gone!! I'm totally sold on this product line. I've made two purchases so far and I think I'm going to be a life long user of this brand.

UPDATE: It does help a lot with stains; see pictures. It also looks like it might have a very light bleaching effect on darker clothes if set for a long time but not enough to bother me at least. The black shirt is slightly lightened; I don't remember how long it was sitting. The white shirt was only treated on the left side and sat in the laundry basket for almost 3 weeks; if you look closely you can see the right side has a pretty obvious ring. The left side was actually worse than the right before treating! I have a sweating issue that literally ruins all of my clothing so I have to cycle through shirts like once a year if not more often. This has become even more of an issue since I moved to a place where I now stockpile all of my clothing and take it to a laundromat once a month or so, giving plenty of time for old deodorant and terrible smells to really settle in. I LOVE this stuff. I basically use it as a pre-treat. As soon as I take my shirts off I treat them with this. I try to get them while they're still sweaty so that the product has an easier time working. Then, I just set them in my laundry basket and wash them as usual when I get around to hauling them to the laundromat. I can't speak for stains as I don't think it's fair to use old, really set in shirts as examples (I'll update if I notice any results), but I can definitely speak to the ability of this stuff to remove old deodorant and odors. It leaves behind its own scent which seems to smell different depending on how long it's been setting, but it's not anything unpleasant. I also use this to pre-treat my Black Milk dresses and other nylon/spandex stuff and it doesn't appear to disturb the designs or discolor anything, though I do not pre-treat them long term; it's usually just about an hour before I take them to the laundromat (yes, I machine wash them in a lingerie bag; I don't have time to hand wash all of my stuff). Overall, HIGHLY recommend. This stuff saves my wallet!

This is HANDS down the best odor and stain remover I’ve ever used in my entire life. We’ve been having some issues with our dog and our cream colored carpets didn’t stand a chance until I found this product. I was so impressed by how well a natural cleaner worked. I had to use a woolite option while waiting on my delivery (we had an asap mishap and ran out of product) and it literally bleached my carpet AND the chemical smell still lingers. We bought the shampoo too. Great pleasant smells that are super light and don’t take over the house. The only thing I don’t love is the bottle, it’s not designed to help you use the last fourth of the bottle. Also, can we get a refill on this one?

I've had a beautiful white dress with blue flowers for a couple years that I've never worn. I had packed it away for the winter (in 2017) in a vacuum-sealed bag, in which it was placed next to a (cheap) black dress. The colour from the black dress bled into the white dress, and it was left with ugly brown splotches all over it. I discovered this last year when I had unpacked my summer clothes. I tried washing it with regular detergent, which didn't work, followed by Oxy and regular detergent, which also didn't work. I loved this dress when I bought it, so I couldn't just get rid of it. It hung in my closet again for the whole summer, and then it went back into a vacuum-sealed bag for the winter - wrapped in a bag on its own, and still with the brown splotches all over it. I took it out again this spring, and considered dying it, but that would take away from what I loved about it. I considered bleaching it, but I wasn't sure how the fabric would react to that, especially with the blue flowers. So I Googled. I found this product and decided to order it based on the good reviews it has, and despite the price. I sprayed my dress all over, concentrating on the splotches. I rubbed it against itself and allowed it to sit overnight. The next morning, I was super disappointed that the splotches hadn't faded. I rinsed the dress, threw it into the washer with the rest of my laundry, added an extra rinse cycle (you can feel a filminess from the product), and figured I'd just try bleach next. Once the I took the laundry out of the washer, I got pretty giddy when I saw that my dress no longer had splotches on it. I examined it carefully, and it looks brand new! The stains, although set in for a year and a half and laundered twice, actually came out, so I HIGHLY recommend trying this spray for stubborn stains.

Pricey but work amazingly!

Just used a few times and I must say I am extremely impressed! I've used many other stain removers both with high levels of chemicals and those that are claimed to be all natural. So far it has worked well on removing deep blood stains on my son's jean jacket. It also removed a huge chocolate ice cream stain on my son's white shirt which I thought would never come out. I've also used it on my infant daughter's poo explosion stain and it has worked for all of it without having to scrub very harshly. I would say that I did require a lot of water to ensure the stain was removed. With tough stains you may need to exercise some patience because you'll just need the time to keep agitating the material (rubbing it) to completely get the stain out. I've read some reviews that they didn't like how it sprayed but I found nothing wrong with it. It sprays as a single line stream but I find that's better than a wide spray because you can target your stains better. It did take some time to arrive after I ordered it but it was worth the wait and even though it may seem pricey it is worth the money! I really like the idea even more that it's not made with harsh chemicals and that it's plant based.

I've tried it on some months old stains left by oil and sauces on T-shirts, hoodies and sweaters, which the regular detergent has failed to wash off again and again. I applied the product on the clothes and left them for 2 days. It turned out 80% of the duty has been done quite well, no marks left. Some stains left by sauces with bright colours are still there, but they seem much lighter. Given it's a natural formula, I consider it has done a great job. Will try to remove the rest stains again and see how it will go.

I'd read so many good reviews of this and was excited to try it, but the price was pretty steep. However, it was worth it. I have used borax, washing soda, a stain-remover bar, oxyclean, and I can't remember how many other stain removers in my life, but none compare to this one. Usually stain removers only work on new stains, but this one does way more. I had clothing with (very) old blood stains and this remover got rid of them totally! Old sweat stains on white tee shirts, same! I just wet the stained part of the clothing, spray this generously on, rub it in a bit, and let it dry. Leaving it longer makes it work better. If you have a couple days to let it sit, it will be worth it. Then just toss the item in the laundry and the stain is gone. Also it smells nice, not chemical-y.
