Super fun game - kinda straightforward after you get the hang of it yet strategic complexity and replay value is maintained from the dynamic gameplay that arises out of different kings orders/kings favours setup each play through.

Great artwork, clever mechanism, excellent replay value are features of this superb game. People who are not familiar to worker placement games should not directly jump into this game as it may look a bit over whelming at first(there is a lot going on in this game). To give you an idea, there are 3 attributes (faith, strength, influence). Players will be increasing them by placing their different workers at different locations and carrying out different work. You may be commissioning monks, building outposts, fortifying , absolving your sins, attacking and converting outsiders, recruiting people. In order to achieve these you need resources which you get by again placing workers for trading and hunting. All these activities will increase your 3 attributes. The placement of workers in these locations are deprndent on those 3 attributes. For example , you should have a certain attribute to place a worker in a certain location to carry out an activity which increases another attribute.It's all about optimisation. Perfect Euro style game. As you can see, there is a lot going on. Teaching this game to a new player would easily take 30 minutes and gameplay can be 2 hours long for 2-3 players depending on players' analysis paralysis.Once you play this game a couple of times, you will get the hang of it. It's such an interesting game , you won't regret investing time n money on it. Of all the games I bought in last 2 years(I have bought tons of them) , I have played this the most (close to 30 game plays). Ohh did I mention, this game has a cool solo game as well.
