Shipping was prompt and the build quality is excellent. Wiring the radar detector into my X5 was straightforward with this hardwire kit. It performs exactly as expected and handles daily use effectively. I only used one wire and no zip ties, but it’s perfect. You can’t see it, it’s hidden, looks great, connected perfectly, power runs great and the length is perfect.

Picked up this Xislet mirror tap power cord set to hardwire my Valentine One radar detector in my '96 C4 Corvette. The cords are well made—sturdy build, good connectors. Only needed one for the install, but the extras gave me options for future installs without buying more. Plugged right in via the mirror wire tap—clean look, no dangling cigarette lighter mess—and it worked great: solid power, no drops or interference. Installation was straightforward. No complaints so far; great value for a tidy, permanent setup. Would grab again if needed.

Great alternative to the " Mirror Tap" brand

Just hardwired my Valentine 1 (2nd Model) and these wired worked flawlessly!!!

This was a simple 5 minute install. I already knew which pin slots to use so it went quickly (2017 Mustang). Oddly, the included instructions were for a different product, a dual size pin cable where you cut off the unwanted pins. The cable is very long, more than I needed so I had to route it in long loops to make it not hang down. I only gave this 4 stars because the cable seems very very thin and fragile. The mesh surrounding the cable is much bigger around than the cables inside. Others have said these last about 6 months before the RJ-11 tab breaks. I’m hoping the medium size pin cable that was included will also work, though it likely won’t. For the price, it’s a good purchase.

Easily installed today on a 2014 Carrera 4S Coupe. Nice to not have the radar detector (V1 Gen 2) plugged into the outlet in the glovebox, and the coiled cord dangling. The smallest connector blades are fragile and will break if they get bent enough times. Mine broke off as I was fiddling around trying to get the overhead light piece snapped back in - the connectors were being bent over due to the tight space. Trimmed away some of the heat shrink tubing to expose what was left of the connector blades, and was able to push them in and make it work.
