Sceptre 34-inch Curved UltraWide 21: 9 Creative LED Monitor 2560x1080 Frameless HDMI DisplayPort Up to 100Hz, Machine Black 2020 (C345W-2560UN)

First off I must say that this thing is impressive. Not only in size but in power and quality as well. Second, the price tag is what I am most fond of. How many products like this cost LESS than half a grand? Not many, that's what. Onward to the specifics: It has a clear picture and is very wide at that. Whether you intend to do work at home or just sit back, relax and start gaming, it's good for it all. Though I will say, this thing is B-R-I-G-H-T. After using it for a while I got up to get myself a drink and realized that it illuminates the ENTIRE room. One might even say that if configured correctly that it could double as an X-ray machine, so I don't recommend setting it up in the bedroom if you plan to use it while your significant other is trying to sleep. Thankfully, there is a blue-light setting to help one ease eye strain if long hours in front of the screen (especially in the dark) are either highly likely or just straight-up unavoidable, so there's that. This is just after a few hours of use immediately after putting it together though so I can't speak to its longevity. Another thing that I found interesting is that rather than packing an HDMI cable, it comes with a DisplayPort cable but has two ports for HDMI as well as a jack for headphones so I should say it would be pretty versatile. The cords (including power) are all the perfect length as I have a good surge protector (power strip) or two within very short range and have plenty of room if I wish to adjust. All-in-all, I can't see anything beating the Sceptre because it's cheap, effective, generously-sized and appears to be great quality.

This monitor is an awesome product. It looks great and it’s very large 34 inches. The clarity is very clear and it has pretty good audio, which I believe separates it from the rest given inexperience cost. BUT, be advised, you may have to go into your settings and make adjustments to increase the Hz so that the the picture will use all of the screen. I initially thought there was an error because the display wasn’t using the full screen, but once I made the adjustments to Hz, the display area changed allowing for full use of the screen size edge to edge..

Product came on time and in perfect condition. Assembly was easy and the stand is heavy duty metal, which is a plus. Connections were in an awkward place, but everything hooked together just fine. The screen was bigger than I expected, and is amazing. The colors are bright and defined. The curved screen wraps nicely around the corner desk we have. The resolution is out of this world. I bought this to replace a cheap burned out 18" hdtv used as a monitor for my son's pc. He now has a field of view so massive he has to turn his head. He absolutely loves the upgrade. I would buy this monitor again for my pc when my screen finally goes out 100%.

So originally I was using a 1920x1080p panel at 60hz. I decided to treat myself for my birthday with this monitor, and MAN do I LOVE IT. While its still a 1080p panel, its a 2560x1080p at 100hz, meaning that gaming on this thing is REALLY smooth. Its not going to be a 200hz display, but for me and my casual gaming, its wonderful. Being able to see things like Adobe Premier and Sony Movie Studio at this size allows for more room on scrubbing through the footage, and makes it easier to point to a specific location. There are a few key cons about this monitor. First, the speakers are HORRENDOUS, so if you were going to use this without a set of speakers, GET SOME SPEAKERS. I was actually annoyed by this fact, but since I have desk speakers, I can live around this flaw. The second issue, is that it does NOT support Picture by Picture or Picture in Picture, something I thought it would come with since the 30 in version and the 35 in version of their lineup DOES come with these features, and if there is a firmware update that makes this feature possible, then I would IMMEDIATELY download that firmware (sadly no, there isn't to the best of my knowledge). Overall, I would highly recommend this monitor as a intro monitor to Ultrawide monitor gaming/basic video editing. Its not to big for an ultrawide monitor, and for the right price, its amazing to have. I got mine for about $350 before taxes, so right now during the pandemic I wouldn't get it (currently lowest listing is $500 (*x*) ), but once prices go back to normal, and would love to get into Ultrawide gaming, I would HIGHLY recommend this one to start with. EDIT: Do not use the included S-light for the display. Display acted funny with it, and all issues disappeared once I removed the little light.

I ordered this monitor do to it, NOT being 3-4k. I'm not the type to constantly buy a new video card each gen, and I wanted to get a monitor that met the criteria of freesync or gsync and 2560x1080 res. This fits the bill perfectly, color is great, ghosting is very minimal and the overall impact of this monitor has impressed me highly. Only downsides of this monitor is no HDR, but tbh the colors are very vibrant still, and the initial assembly was a bit obscure for me at least to attach the base, but didn't take a long time to figure out. I recommend this monitor to anyone that wants 60+ fps gaming on a mid range gaming card. Also they include the displayport cable with the monitor, as well as a really nice small screwdriver for assembly.

This monitor has exceeded my expectations. I say that because at this price point I did not have high expectations. It is super bright with a great picture quality. I did not have the issues some of the other reviewers did. All of my pixels were perfect, no screen tearing...just a great quality picture with great responsiveness. I play COD, WOW, Diablo, all on ultra settings and have had zero issues. I highly recommend! My only critique would be the sound quality. Do not expect much in this arena. I am however running a Bose sound system so the monitor speakers are a non-issue. Get this monitor!

I wanted to upgrade to a 34 inch 21:9 ultrawide with 100Hz refresh rate from a 29 inch 75Hz one. I’ve gotten more into PC gaming in the last 3 years and wanted something with more ‘oomph’ to take advantage of my Nvidia GTX 2060 card. I knew I wanted 2560x1080 resolution as I’ll probably rock this video card for another 2-3 years and did not want to tax it by going to a higher resolution than that. For that purpose, this fits the bill. I can’t see any large pixels beyond what most people would consider reasonable for this size of display. I sit 2 feet away from the display. It looks fine to me. Unless you zoom in on the monitor, they are not noticeable. For productivity, 21:9 makes it difficult to go back to 16:9. I can easily work with two applications running on the screen at once where with 16:9 I have to have them overlap or use two screens. This eliminates an extra device. Out of the box, it was brighter than I would like but I calibrated it in Windows and after that, it looks awesome to me. Navigating the menu system isn’t a simple as LG’s setup but after a while, I got used to it. I can’t comment on the speakers as I use headphones and had external speakers from my last monitor. It’s probably fine for offices though. I don’t think anyone really expects ‘the booming system’ from a computer monitor anyway. It has a small LED projector you can install with the image of the Sceptre logo "S" that you can optionally install. I figured I’d lose it if I didn’t go ahead and pop it in anyway. I have it turned off though. It’s like those little lights you can have project down when you open your car doors. Neat. At the price I paid, it was a really good bargain and would buy again. If one is not looking at this for gaming, just the extra screen and desk real estate make it a good buy.

I researched several large curved screens for my work. There was good/bad with nearly all unless the price was >$500.... For the price, this is a great monitor. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and engineering of this monitor! The design even makes it easy to connect cables, which is never the case with electronics. The removable cover makes cable connections easy. This is even designed for mounting using a wall mount or larger table mount. I have read complaints about text clarity. NO ISSUES at all! Things to consider: Good HDMI cable. Don't break the bank, but don't buy a $2 cable either. Use the native resolution of the monitor. This should be more than enough for office type work. If you see any issues, it is likely your computer. Set the refresh rate to 60Hz on your laptop. The monitor can handle 85Hz, but the HDMI cable and/or computer may struggle. I don't use this for gaming, so no comments there...

So far for the past week, this monitor has performed mostly pretty well, and I am currently satisfied with it. The 2560x1080 resolution, contrary to what I've heard many people say many times, produces an excellent immersive experience from a 34" display. In fact, I believe it's a much wiser choice over 3440x1440 if you are intending to play demanding games at high refresh rates with anything less than an RTX 3080. I also like the 100Hz max refresh rate because it allows a significantly smoother experience compared to a 60Hz refresh rate display, though I wish this monitor was 120Hz. The VA technology used creates a significantly superior contrast ratio to my IPS monitor, whilst producing a perfectly satisfactory color gamut for gaming and media consumption. The integrated speakers a nice bonus if you don't have any current working speakers and want to hear some noise at the very least; by almost every metric except volume though, the audio quality is abysmal. The 1500R advertised was a bit off-putting to me since I've only ever seen a flat-screen in person (other than CRT) before my first use but within no time I got used to it and do like the immersive nature of it. I wouldn't recommend a more extreme 1000R curved monitor or the use of them in serious graphics work due to the distortion of otherwise straight lines. The 21:9 aspect ratio of this monitor in my opinion renders 16:9 obsolete if you value immersion. Now for the two issues I have had with this monitor: - The most significant issue is the appearance of screen flickering when using adaptive sync. This was most prevalent during my first 3 days of use. When playing demanding games, I noticed significant screen flickering (very quick changes in screen brightness), even with the fps with the adaptive sync range (48-100Hz according to CRU). I played with the fps capped to 100 and there was successfully no screen tearing and the experience was significantly less stuttery than a locked refresh rate with v-sync enabled. Apparently from what I've read, this screen flickering issue is more prevalent on VA-type displays due to their higher contrast ratios, so I don't think it's an issue exclusive to the SCEPTRE C345W-2560UN. So if this issue is a huge turn-off for you, get a vetted IPS adaptive sync display if you're willing to trade it for a significantly worse contrast ratio. With all this being said, I've had better luck recently concerning the screen flickering issue. I've been recently playing Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 with the refresh rate and fps changing anywhere from 50 to 100 with much less flickering. It's still present, but much more mild and definitely happens less often. Perhaps the monitor is finally getting into its proper stride? - What seems for now to be a bygone issue was the disconnection of DisplayPort randomly two times, and the refusal to find a source during PC boot-up once. These problems occurred within the first two days of use and haven't popped up again though, so I'm cautiously optimistic. Overall I have to say I'm satisfied with this monitor and would recommend it to anyone who wants an excellent gaming/entertainment experience. UPDATE: I've discovered a very big issue with this monitor when using it with consoles: their 16:9 content is either stretched to the full 21:9 native aspect ratio or squeezed to a 4:3 aspect ratio. These are the only two settings in the monitor's OSD menu. SPECTRE managed to neglect the ability to use the most common aspect ratio in existence. I didn't even have this problem with the 29" LG monitor I bought 5 years ago at half the price. I contacted SPECTRE technical support and they said there's nothing that can be done to fix it. It's very disappointing because I've gotten used to the convenience of having my Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC all going to the same monitor via different inputs. All of this has been thrown out the window due to SPECTRE's neglect of the simplest of features.
