The original screen had started messing up badly. The kit has enough tools to complete the job, and I didn't need to use extra adhesive tape or anything. Taking off the plastic rim around the original screen is touchy. You can easily damage the plastic if not careful. The provided flat-blade metal tool did a great job of helping loosen the plastic. It was also needed to slowly and carefully pry loose the adhesive on the two sides of the screen holding the side brackets to it. The process of putting these on the replacement screen is easy, and reassembly of the laptop is not a problem. I do recommend disconnecting the battery once you can get to the connector. No sense in damaging anything by keeping power to it. The screen seems to work well. There are a few "sparkles" on it, but these are likely due to the cable being removed and replaced a couple of times.
