In the directions on the box it says this product “has not been proven to be effective on nails”. Isn’t it also marketed for, toenail fungus?

The Seller's 2020 statement that, " ... there are ZERO topical treatments approved by the FDA to fight nail fungus ..." is and was untrue. JubliaⓇ brand (eficonazole 10%) was approved for treatment of toenail fungus in early 2014 (and heavily promoted to consumers). The Seller's claim that "... the FDA demands that no topical product makes the claim that ..." is also untrue.  Drug products, including generic versions of approved prescription products,  and many OTC products are still required to undergo FDA review in order to make treatment claims.

Question 2

Since the product is to be applied around the nail bed & on the cuticle is it still ok to wear polish to hide the ugly?

Hi and thanks for your question.  The answer is a more-or-less, yes.  Nail polish MAY impede a bit of the absorption process if some of the polish attaches to the skin or cuticle. Is it better to file the nail surface for better absorption ?  The fungus has lifted my nail up.

Hello, and thanks for your question!  Funginix should be applied to the cuticle AND the skin around the edge of each infected nail.  You should NOT apply Funginix on top of  the nail itself because no topical treatment for nail fungus can penetrate the nail bed.  The great results from using Funginix take place when Funginix absorbs into the skin and tissue around each infected nail and attacks the fungus from inside the body.  You can file the nail down in order to remove some of the infected nail but make sure to apply Funginix to the skin AROUND each infected nail.
