Fo the purpose you propose I would think it’s worth paying extra and opting for stainless steel. **Q: What is the grade steel is the M12 ?** A: Sorry, I don't know what grade steel, i used them for plant supports and they worked well **Q: I dont need 10 lengths how much would it be for 5** A: Yes it is **Q: Was thinking of using these to form a cable-tied grid to cover a reservoir for a pebble fountain. They arrived poorly wrapped in black bin liner-type plastic and not in the cardoard tube, as the product imnage suggests. Upon inspection, I noticed that around 50% of the rods were slightly bent by a few degrees along their lengths. This wasn't a significant issue for me since strength was more crucial than precision for my project, and these rods proved to be strong enough. Moreover, they were the most affordable option I could find anywhere.
