Ok, I searched all of amazon over the course of a few days trying to find something, ANYTHING that would breathe some life back into my TV. There are a million products on amazon and it seems that many don't work with a Chromecast or Firestick. This one does! What does my setup look like? I am using an older 40"? Sceptre HDTV. If you're looking to use this product on something without hdmi ports, it may not work for you. I can only speak to a TV that does have hdmi ports. So if your TV has hdmi ports but they are all taken up or not functioning, this will probably work for you. I tested the adapter with both a Chromecast and Firestick, and they both worked without any issues. It's even showing up in 1080p (not sure about other resolutions, e.g., 1080i, 720p, etc.).

Worked great for a while, then suddenly stopped working at some point. It's been sitting in a cabinet unused. No LED or indication of power. Buyer beware.

Easy to set up & was compatible with my old DISH flatscreen tv. I did have to order cables for this as I wanted to make sure I had correct cables. I haven't noticed any heat buildup issues with the converter box as of yet. The picture quality is as good as what I got with DISH (without the cost). Yet to be determined how durable the converter box is.

Used this device to enable a Hdmi ROKU cable to hook up to RGB AV inputs on a 50in. Samsung tv because its HDMI inputs no longer worked. The decoder worked but periodically (every couple of minutes) blacked out (loss of signal) for about 5 seconds. This makes viewing unacceptable, hence 2 stars. Maybe it's time to get another tv. Update: Tried on a 40in RCA tv. It worked better, but still had periodic blackouts. Seller issued a refund, hence my revision from 2 to 4 stars.

My aging television has slowly been going blind on the HDMI ports for some time, so when my final HDMI port failed, I wasn’t going to let this old television go to waste. I paid good money for it last decade, and I wasn’t going to let a few failed HDMI ports sour my view on the tv screen. Luckily, my TV has a component connection, from the early days of “high-definition.” Naturally, I came to Amazon for a device that could change the modern HDMI signal of my fire stick into the ancient signals of past displays. As can be seen from the accompanying picture, the device successfully competed the job, and the tv recognizes full 1080 resolution. All that to say, I would recommend this device. Also, the antique component cables are sold separately (but I’m sure we all have one stashed away in a cord box from the 2000s, as I myself did).

I bought this to test latency through the RetroTink 5x with the Time Sleuth. I was very disappointed to find out this adds a rolling latency from 34 milliseconds to 16 milliseconds. My understanding was that the Portta version (not available anymore) added 3 milliseconds, which would be much more manageable if using on a CRT or for lag testing. For reference, I was able to output 480i to a CRT, but not 240p. The 1-2 frames of latency might not matter to some, but for me is a no go.

Very easy to set up. I had to use this because we replaced our TV boxes, but had component cables installed within the walls. The quality is not HDMI quality, but the same as the component cables - I think that's pretty obvious. Overall, works great and easy to set up.

Item has a picture where it claims that it works with laptops via HDMI. This is FALSE. As it is only a pass-through, this converter doesn't have an EDID, which means your PC won't be able to detect it when you connect it via HDMI, which means IT DOESN'T WORK ON PC. It may work for other devices, but I wouldn't know because I purchased it to be used with a laptop, and it just flat out doesn't. If you're planning on purchasing a converter to send an image from your PC via HDMI to YPbPr, this item isn't the one to buy.

手間取りましたが、配線の繋ぎ直しをし、解像度の設定をいろいろと試したところ使えるようになりました。フルハイビジョンにはなりませんが、所期の目的は達成できました。

HDDに収録した番組をアナログ出力でPCに取り込もうと購入いたしましたが、私の作業環境では画像も音もダメでした。 他社の製品で試してみましたところ問題なく再生できました。 ご購入される際には、仕様等を慎重にご確認いただくことをお勧めいたします。

2台のプレーヤーで試しましたが、主力された画像はノイズばかりです。
