Easy inclusion in SmartThings. Works great so far!
I bought multiple of these to have one outdoor temp sensor be able to activate (through SmartThings) multiple heat-tape locations on our roof in winter to prevent ice dams. I recently added exterior outlets around the house to accommodate this. Inclusion of these outdoor-rated switches (with an operating temp range down below freezing) was easy and straight forward in SmartThings (ST). I was able to easily change the parameters manually (using the lighted button on the front of the device, not through the ST app) to: 1. Have the light on the device be โonโ when the device was โonโ, and โoffโ when the switch was โoffโ. This will give me visual feedback that the heat tape is operating outside when it needs to be. 2. Secondly, I was able to set the parameter where the switch comes back on in the same state that it was at the time of a power failure. This was important to me because we have frequent power failures in winter, and when the power comes back on, I need the heat tape to come back on if it was in before the power outage. Bottom line, the device was ready to install, easy to program the parameters that I wanted, and seems to work reliably in my testing so far. Canโt wait for winter now.

Easy connection to SmartThings, works great
Works really well, I had no problem connecting to SmartThings using the QR code on the back of the unit. Make sure to plug it in close to the ST hub first, after it's set up you can move it. I was then able to use ST to sound an alert on my phone and also send a text to me and others in my household. I'm using it for a small utility pump to drain my pool remotely by a few inches when a hurricane is approaching or the level is too high, so the ST integration was important, and seamless. I'd initially tried an Enbrighten smart plug but couldn't get it to connect to ST after numerous attempts, but this model is much easier to connect.

This is my second one, I really like the unit but had a fight to get it connected to my ST hub.
So first off I have two of these and the first one has been hanging out side controlling to low voltage landscape lighting transformers for a year and a half through two hot Texas summers and some 20-30 degree cold weather. It has worked like a champ so I have the same expectation of this unit. First off once linked to my SmartThings hub it works great. Notes below on the initial setup but once I got through the pain it connected the final time reporting both outlets and they were ready to go. BUT, getting it linked to my hub was a pain. First attempt it paired right away but only showed up as one outlet. Ok so you're thinking not a disaster, lets remove it, do the device reset and try again right? Not so fast buddy, I couldn't get it to remove from the network. Had the hub ready to remove it, had the right lights on the unit but the removal timed out. Try a few more times and finally do a force delete from the hub. Reset the device following the instructions and try again. Now the dang thing won't pair at all. So reset again and this time it pairs but only showing one switch again but at least it goes through the removal process normally. So fourth try is the charm? I had the unit about 5 feet from the hub so this time I basically have it sitting right beside the hub. Do the reset again and it it appears to connect this time. But go to look for the devices and don't see any switches. I'm getting a little irritated at this point but since the add device seemed to go right I restarted the SmartThings app first and when restarted both switches are now visible and working fine. So lessons learned. One put it right beside the hub. Two do a reset prior to trying to connect it the first time. It's too late for me, save yourself!! But honestly though it took 20 minutes to get it connected its working great and given the first one has been robust I still recommend the switch. And from the reviews not everybody has the same trouble I did getting it connected.

Performs as advertised
I have a Vera Plus controlled Z-Wave based smart home. I am building a large deck with bench seating in lieu of railings and I installed down-casting rope lighting in the benches. I tested all components and everything worked great. While doing the finishing work I zipped a screw through the rope lighting and short circuited everything. I blew a fuse in the rope light and tripped the GFCI breaker. What didnโt blow was this switch. I had to replace a section of the rope lighting, a fuse in the rope lighting, and reset the breaker. But this switch never complained and survived my stupidity unscathed. So, itโs a smart switch thatโs smarter than me. LOL. But seriously, it paired with my system quickly and easily and now reliably performs its desired task regularly. I would HIGHLY recommend it.

Reliability is an issue
I purchased this to control my exterior Christmas lights. At first I was impressed with how easily it connected to my smartthings controller. Timers and automation was easy to setup and being able to control both outlets individually was fantastic. There is only one button to physically control the outlets and it turns both on and off at the same time. The reason for the low star rating is simply reliability. One of the outlets stopped functioning only 5 days after setup. The outlet does not pass power at all anymore. I don't know how long the second outlet will function before it dies.

Reliable, Easy to Setup, Relatively Inexpensive
Has been working great for around 6 months now with some overhead lights outside, exposed to the rain. I bought a 2nd one to use under a canopy outside and I think the way I positioned it exposed it to too much water, so I reached out to their support and after a prompt reply, they're now sending me a replacement one. Since I often look at reviews for this, I'm currently using it with Home Assistant (HassIO) to automatically turn on some outdoor lights before sunset and turn them off around 11pm. The other thing that's nice about this setup is I believe it acts as a repeater which helps since I have a lock nearby that is battery powered. (Also, features for review are listed as "Warmth," "Sheerness," and "Thickness?" Hard to imagine how those were selected by Amazon.)

Works for me with SmartThings
I'm using this to control outdoor holiday lights in my SmartThings home automation setup. Setup was easy, and it shows up as two separate switches in ST, each independently controllable. The cord could perhaps be a bit longer, but I appreciate that each plug has a rubber cover if you did not have a plug in each. This was used last year, and put away in January. When I pulled it out of storage this season and plugged it in, it reconnected flawlessly back to my ST hub.

Randomly drops off Z-Wave network, won't come back until you power cycle it
[UPDATED REVIEW] Although originally this worked great with Home Assistant and an Aeotec Z-Stick controller, after about six weeks problems developed. It randomly stops responding to Z-Wave commands, and the controller reports it as "dead". You can still control whatever's plugged in by using the button on the unit, but having to go outside to switch things on and off kind of defeats the point. The Z-Wave functions die two or three times a week. When that occurs the only way to bring it back onto the Z-Wave network is to unplug it, wait a while, and then plug it in again. Then it works for a few days, until it randomly stops responding and I have to go outside to power cycle it again. (Nothing had changed in my Z-Wave network when these problems started, and all my other devices are working fine.) I emailed Eva Logik support, but still no response after two weeks. Will update if I hear back from them. [ORIGINAL REVIEW: was 5 stars] I'm using Z-Wave dual outdoor outlet with Home Assistant and an Aeotec Z-Stick Gen5 Z-Wave controller. And so far, it does exactly what it claims, and does it well. Both outlets can be controlled independently, and their status shows up accurately in my HA dashboards. Pairing was easy: the outlet automatically enters add mode the first time you plug it in, so just be sure to click "add node" in the HA Z-Wave panel before you plug it in. (There's a big yellow sticker on the packaging alerting you to this.) The outlet shows up as three devices, all "Unknown: type=c000, id=c007 by Inovelli." The second and third devices control the left and right outlets, respectively. The first device also seems to control just the left outlet, at least by default. (There are configurable device parameters for group associations, but I haven't experimented with that. The instruction sheet also lists some other available parameters: LED indicator behavior, auto turn-on and turn off timers, and state after power outage--see photos.) Range seems great for my purposes. I have it outdoors, about 50ft and some windows away from the nearest (indoor) Z-Wave node, and it's been completely reliable so far. (Unlike the Bolun Wi-Fi outdoor smart plug it replaced.) I've deliberately kept my network to only Z-Wave Plus devices; if you have some older non-Plus devices mixed in, that might affect your range. Can't comment on weather resistance yet, but I'll update this review if I run into any problems.
