Five Star TV Antenna Indoor/Outdoor Yagi Satellite HD Antenna with up to 200 Mile Range - Attic or Roof Mount TV Antenna, Digital OTA Radio/FM Antenna for 4K 1080P with Mounting Pole

This antenna had sufficient gain to pull in a low power digital station broadcasting on Channel 8. Previously I was using a very old but large Channel Master antenna from the old analog days. The old antenna is over 108 inches long but would not pull in this low power channel from the mounted position in the attic. The new Five Star pulled in the channel despite if there is snow on the roof or the roof is clear. I went from 54 channels received on the old antenna to 65 channels received. One of the channels I now get is channel 13 which is the opposite way the antenna is aimed. So the reflectors must do a good job of concentrating the radio waves into the pickup active collectors. This antenna is well worth the $50 price tag and performs very well with the J tube mount that allowed me to place it higher up than the old antenna. I also have a Televis pre-amp as I am feeding to TV's through about 100 feet of coax cable to each TV input. Assembly took about 15 minutes with the written instructions and the video for reference.

Nice antenna. We got rid of cable TV years ago and opted for streaming services. Downside was we always lacked the ability to receive the local, over the air stations in our area. Solution - a digital antenna.This one solved our problem nicely. After I connected it to our TV it helped pull in well over 70 digital broadcast channels. When I moved it to our attic, the antenna pulled in even more stations. To be fair, I live in a major metropolitan area, so there are lots of TV stations within 100 miles of me broadcasting multiple HD channels. So if you’re in a more rural area, you may only get your local, digital stations. But still, an antenna is worth it if you’re a cord cutter and want the local stations. This antenna does the job nicely.Assembly was not difficult. It came in few pieces and I was able to figure out how to put it together from just looking at the picture.Can’t speak to its outside durability as I installed ours in the attic. But it looks like it’s made well and would survive being outside. I’d read other reviews from people who mounted their’s outside to get a better idea.Overall, a decent antenna. Especially if you can pick it up on sale. Would recommend.

Easy to assemble, instructions are sufficient, and it does work quite well (very sharp nulls to the side, and nice gain to the front). Appears to be good quality. HOWEVER- One star off for: A) including the word "satellite" in the description- this is NOT a satellite type antenna (like for DirecTV) and B) adding the "200-mile range" part to it. Over flat terrain, with the right atmospherics, you MAY get that sort of range (reliably) with at least a 50' tower and a 2K' sending tower. Otherwise, the product itself appears to be durable and a good value. Happy with the antenna- just not the misleading description...

I just got this antenna about an hour ago.I don't get home until after dark so I can't do a real install until the weekend. So I just put it together and set it down propped up on a chair and a plant pot on my son's little COVID school "desk". Ran the channel finder in the TV and picked up 46 channels perfectly. We are about 40 miles from the closest tower. The biggest thing is it gets ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox. So I get all the football and network shows for the one time low price of what I paid for the antenna.I have tried a couple of those round, flat and flexible antennas and I couldn't get NBC or Fox, so I've been paying HULU $65/mo just to get the local channels plus the movie perks. But wasnt crazy happy with them. We cut the cord about a year ago and it didn't really feel like the financial cord was cut... especially after getting a notice that HULU is increasing our bill by $10/mo this month. That was it. On the hunt for a better antenna. I found it. See ya HULU, I'm putting you in the same place I put DirecTV and Dish. I do still pay Sling $45 for the cable channels I want and we use Netflix for movies and such, but this nice little antenna just saved me $75 a month. Well worth the purchase.Its currently indoors with no amplifier or filter and it works great. I'll post a picture and update after I get it properly installed.12/5/2020 update:Installed properly and got 57 channels. All of them but one are clear. There is one that doesn't come in, but i don't even know which channel it is so obviously not one I care about. All the major networks are perfectly clear.I could not be happier with this purchase. I highly recommend it.

There are far better antennas available, but not at this price point. You get what you pay for.I would absolutely recommend this antenna if your expectations are reasonable. If you are looking for a "200 mile range" OTA antenna, you either haven't done your homework or your expectations are unrealistic.The product title and description from the manufacturer is misleading at best. There are NO "200 mile range" OTA antennas that will receive a digital broadcast television signal. They may receive a "measureable" signal, but it won't be anywhere strong enough to be usable on your modern TV. The very best, most expensive OTA atennas mounted 30-50 feet high will receive out to about 65-70 miles over flat ground. You've been warned.Having said that, I needed an OTA antenna for a station located 34 miles from me over flat ground to supplement my main antenna which points at several towers further away and in the opposite direction. I mounted the antenna 30' above ground pointed away from roofline and aimed it using a Sadelco signal level meter.I was able to obtain an averaged -26 dBmv signal at the antenna for the one station I was trying to receive. I also installed a Winegard XT preamp at the antenna which got me to -17 dBmv at my TV, which is strong enough to be reliable even in bad weather.This antenna, like comes disassembled in three sections which must be bolted together. It assembles using the included hardware into about a three foot long antenna. For comparison, my long range antenna that is just adequate for towers 65 miles away is over 9 feet long. In the antenna world, size matters. So at about three feet, this product isn't a "long range" antenna by anyone's measure.The hardware is plain steel, not stainless or zinc-plated, so it will eventually rust. Tje wing nuts for the pole mount are stampings, not even cast wing nuts. Just very poor quality.And the instructions are less than useful. You'll need to carefully study the pictures to see how it's supposed to be assembled. But if you're patient, you can get it put together.The included u-bolt mounting means the antenna is easily tipped up or down which is not helpful. In order to get the best signal the antenna needs to be level, not tilted. Unless you live on a mountain or deep in a valley, that's not a a good feature and it makes accurately aiming the antenna difficult at best. In order ti be able to rotate the antenna to vet the brst signal, the u-bolt must be loosened. Yiu can't hold the antenna while measuring the signal and with the mount even slightly loosened, the antenna droops. So accurately aiming is tough.Better antennas have two u-bolts that keep the antenna level while aiming.Despite the misleading product description, cheap mounting hardware, and poor assembly instructions the antenna met my needs. I wouldn't buy another, but I did make it work instead of hassling with a return. Your mileage may vary.

I just recently got into digital OTA TV earlier this year because, well, to be honest for almost ten years I thought OTA TV didn't exist anymore (true story). So now after trying a few models, including the crappy flat ones which nobody should ever buy (hint: with antennas, size and height and obstructions between you and the stations are the only things that matter. If you use a little dingy piece of tinfoil coated in plastic "180 mile" antenna, you'll be lucky to get reliable stations from 2 miles away reliably and I know it from experience. No, in almost all cases you're gonna want to go for the biggest antenna you can stand to look at on your roof, the biggest you're comfortable with. And you're gonna either wanna put it in the attic or outside, otherwise the signals will be weak and will cut out more than is comfortable, trust me. You might lock in the signal inside and think you're good but just wait until the wind blows... you'll be pretty annoyed! Again, I know it from experience! I have also dealt with this using radio transmitters, I could never use the transmitter inside or the signal range was cut by half. Just use your head! No antenna has magic powers to cut through 50% signal loss caused from your building materials. What's the lesson here again people? DON'T use an indoor antenna! Unless you put it in the attic at least, because having it higher off the ground will help the signal, and then (from what I've heard) the signal loss can be as low as 30% at that point.Anyways, I also tried a Clearstream 2max but it wasn't good enough to get my not-so-local PBS reliably, so I opted for this huge beast. It's giving me about a 10-15 percent increase in signal on all channels. Big improvement! Buying this antenna taught me that the brand doesn't matter with antennas, only the build materials, shape, and size. And since this thing is quite a lot bigger than a clearstream 2max, it's gonna get that extra bit more signal, and it's just that simple folks! Buy this instead of the clearstream, it's 30 bucks less and I'd put my bets on this thing lasting longer outside than a lot of antennas that are being shilled these days, since it's almost all made of metal. Ground your antenna or at least put a surge protector near the base of your antenna (and obviously inspect it in case of lightning hitting it) so you don't zap your valuable electronics.Oh, for the people that care I'm getting 32 stations but the violet-rated (on antennaweb) stations only come in steady at certain times of the day. Nighttime up till around noon. I also am getting reliable reception on stations 60+ miles away! But for some reason my not-so-local violet stations aren't coming in as well. if you discounted the violet stations, that's still 23 stations I can watch all day! For $50, plus it beating out the clearstream 2max, I can't recommend this thing enough. Don't pay attention to the ridiculous marketing claims like "Wind Proof" or "lightning protected" or "200 miles" because literally all of those statements defy the very laws of physics.

This antenna is mounted 20 feet up outdoors, and pointed along the supposedly correct azimuth. It is bringing in stations from 30+ miles away, which is probably what one can expect in country that isn't pool-table flat. I think the 90-mile claim is unrealistic, but I suppose that in perfect conditions it may be attainable. Reception is good at the distances I need.It went together easily; looking closely at the pictures in the instructions made certain all the parts were correctly indexed to each other.My only complaint is with the mounting hardware. The bolts that hold the j-pole in the correct attitude are so soft that I could not tighten them enough to support the antenna at the correct angle. The threads on both bolts stripped, due no doubt to the cheap, soft steel from which they were fashioned - fortunately I had some leftover small carriage bolts that fit.The included 40 feet of RG6 Co-ax cable was enough to reach where I needed, with about 2 feet to spare. All in all, I consider it a reasonably well priced antenna.

Great product, even better signal, I don't have it in the best spot and still get a bunch of HD channels, recently had a windstorm and it held up through it!

Well, I decided to give my now 25 year old Antenna a retirement plan and purchased this item on Amazon.I spent the day installing the unit on the top of my roof, we are fortunate to be on the top of a hill with a clear view to the TV channel Towers. I hooked it all up and fired it up….. I set the TV into search mode and waited. After it finished loading the channels, I immediately noticed missing channels and a couple with the picture was unwatchable. I then re-positioned the antenna over the next 3 hours and finally gave up in desperation. I re-installed the old 25 year old Ant. and straight away, a PERFECT picture on every channel.I will give credit to Amazon who on my request immediately said to the return the item for a full recovery of funds.

Lo uso en 3 televisiones diferentes y las tres con muy buena recepción.Por la zona en la que vivo tengo muy buena recepción a pesar de tener varias obstáculos enfrente. Puedo recibir varios canales locales así como de USA, ya que vivo en frontera.Buena compra, recomendado.
