I had been using another version of this (same band) which I can't find, and I'm not sure if this is it's replacement or what, but this works just as good. You get a smaller amount, but a little goes a long way if you're careful and apply only to the scalp. My son gets crusty patches in his scalp, and this clears it up within a couple of days, and keeps it clear as long as I keep up on the application

A little goes a long way! Great value for what I’ve paid! lol I wish this was around so much longer ago. Anyways, I no longer have to wash my hair every 7-10 days. My scalp remains 97% flake free with this stuff in between washes. Doesn’t make the hair too oily either and doesn’t puff your roots up. I mix mine with a drop of jojoba or Squalane oil for added nourishment. Make sure to brush through your scalp to get full effect. It’s worth the small bit of extra time. Thank you H&S!

Was a little skeptical going into using this but my doctor recommended I start moisturizing my scalp more because of eczema, and this was one of the cheapest serums I could find. It works really really well! As others have noted, the smell is a little overpowering at first, but not necessarily unpleasant. I'd definitely prefer a product without smell, but, hey, cheap. And as someone with very very short hair (I regularly shave my head down), it has lasted quite a while. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be sold in any physical stores near me, so when I repurchase it'll have to be from Amazon. But, overall, good product and one that I will definitely continue using.

I have a rare autoimmune condition called scleroderma that results in extremely dry, tight, and sensitive skin all over. My scalp is no exception, and I’ve struggled with dandruff my whole life. Oddly enough, my scalp also produces plenty of sebum that gets trapped on the surface of my scalp since I have curly hair. I needed a product that could penetrate the skin barrier but that wouldn’t leave my hair too greasy, so here are the pros and cons of this product: Pros: -Affordable price for a quality product. -Plenty of product is in the bottle to cover the entire scalp if needed. -The product isn’t heavy or greasy while still providing plenty of moisture. -The scent is actually quite nice, but it might be a bit strong for some people. -The dropper that comes in the bottle is high-quality and doesn’t drip. -Overall very gentle on my scalp. -Excellent at dandruff removal/scalp healing. -Safe ingredients for my skin/scalp. Cons: -The scent might be too strong for certain people. -Not the best at absorbing into my scalp by itself so I have to rub the product in with my fingertips. (Of course this might be different for you since my condition might cause the issue?) -There’s a very slight redness on my scalp after use, but only after rubbing it in pretty hard and it only lasts for a short period of time. -Daily reapplication is necessary for me personally. Overall, I definitely recommend this product as it does help me a lot despite my skin sensitivity. It isn’t a magic elixir or anything grand, but it does what it says it’ll do very well.

Better alternative to oil which is not great for psoriasis but coarse hair requires moisturization. Suggest for use in between washes but not every day

I've struggled with what to do with my scalp since high school (almost 20 years ago!). I have fine, curly, thick hair and I would get little dry skin patches near my scalp at different times throughout the seasons. I used head and shoulders all through high school without much luck. I even had talked to my doc about it years ago and she gave me a Rx for nizoral (nasty stuff if you're asking me). That didn't seem to help a whole lot either. I started not washing my hair every day thinking that might have had something to do with it, but still not any better. I eventually just decided that this was what my hair would do and I just needed to live with it (lots of grey/Heather type fabrics, NO solid black tops, etc). One day I heard someone mention they used a scalp serum and it got me thinking. I ended up settling on this product because it was affordable enough for a "I'll just give it a shot and see." WOW! I've only been using it for 3 weeks and my scaly scalp has TRANSFORMED! I love the scent and the slight tingle after putting it on is so satisfying to me. The only reason I didn't give it full stars for value was that the bottle is relatively small and I'm not sure how much I'm going to go through each month. Other than that- I LOVE this product and will continue to sing it's praises!!

Lets talk. I do not have dandruff so go away with all that. I had very dry scalp during the winter but yet gets oily in like 2 days. Very itchy and this was everything and more. Not oily i was able to add after my shower by parting all over and adding for about 2 weeks my scalp health has improved completly. No longer am i itching or even need to use it anymore. Im able to dry shampoo in between again then wash with no concern. Now i have my go to for those dry scalp seasons wooo! Update a year later winter 2025: still no dry scalp or issues any longer! I didnt have to use again and that always what we look for. I will save this product just in case but my best purchase by far.
