I ended up buying a lint roller with better results **Q: Does this work on short straight hairs? I have a puggle and nothing seems to work.** A: I have a rat terrier and it works as well as other brushes. I would say it may brush 75% of the hair up. I still have to hand-pick hairs. I do like the built-in cleaner. You do have to insert brush a few times to get most of hair off. Hope this helps. **Q: How does it work in cars?** A: Pretty well actually. It's thin enough to get between most seats, and into crevices, and the material that lifts the fur easily conforms into the shape of a seat or underneath even.
