Does not have plastic bottoms
The filters do not have the plastic bottom. They are a bit smaller than the ones with plastic. But for the bargain price, you get what you pay for. Fast shipping, product as pictured and described.

UPDATE: filters work great in Parner flower fountain
3 of the close up filter pictures show the compartments filled with the filtering material. I received these filters and they only contain a very small packet of the materials in each of the 4 compartments.Not worth the money! Overdue for replacing the one in the fountain so had to open the package -- not happy!UPDATE: It's been two weeks and I cleaned the fountain. I'm giving the filters a 5 star up from a 1 because this is the cleanest the fountain has been in the one plus year I've owned it. Other brands didn't fit well enough and/or had green algae, pink, and brown stuff growing in the whole unit after a week. Usually a 20 minute clean with vinegar and small tools. This time I washed off the filter and refilled the tank -- no guck! That's worth a 5 star even with the deceiving pictures.

Originally did NOT fit in my cats fountain
My cat has the Catit Flower Fountain. Apparently I did not look closely enough to this products features and details. It IS NOT supposed to fit in the Catit Flower Fountain, however since I already bought this and I doubt that it could have been returned, I ripped the fabric and filtration beads and stuff out of the original plastic casing of the first filter, cleaned it out, and snuggly placed the replacement into the plastic casing. It surprisingly worked-

They don't work!
They don't work, I have the white and green flower fountain that they say it works for, and they do not work at all. They are a little smaller than the original, and super thin, after only 1 day, the water was gross!

WORKS WITH THE PetSnowy Snow+ Cat Water Fountain, 68oz
I took a chance to purchase these filters since they differ from the PetSnowy filters. I have the PetSnowy filters on order; however, they won't arrive for a month and are much more expensive.These PK.ZTopia Cat Water Fountain Filters come in a 12-pack for $13.99 and seem sturdy and have the same properties for taking care of the water as any other filter. They do not have any plastic, just a firm but flexible fiber cover holding the activated carbon and the ion exchange resin.To prevent the activated carbon dust from shedding into the water, I soaked the replacement filter for 2 minutes, then rinsed it thoroughly under running water before applying it to the fountain. We have two cats using the fountain; I will need more frequent replacements than once a month.This is a good filter choice for the PetSnowy water fountain.
