Unlike other cargo bags that use a thin vinyl material, our cargo bags are made from a thick UV-resistant vinyl and have welded seams to be highly water-resistant. Thick, 1" wide polypropylene straps keep the bag firmly attached to the carrier and ensure your belongings will not jostle around. This CURT cargo bag comes with a heavy-duty zipper that wraps 3/4 of the way around the bag and hook-and-loop flaps to keep the zipper completely covered and the inside of the bag dry. For a little extra security, the zippers are able to be joined together and feature large holes to accept a padlock. This particular CURT cargo bag offers 15 cu. ft. of storage area and is a perfect fit for most CURT cargo carriers. The 5 hour ride was super quiet, no rattle sounds, no loose straps banging on the car or flapping in the wind, it was wonderful. I found the straps to be very strong and steady, despite some of the reviews I read. I have NO issue at all with the straps and was hauling 2 very large suitcases, back packs, and other items on the cargo carrier. In fact, after reading reviews of this product, I purchased the ratchet style straps to use, but had no need for them at all. Great product!

I had no issues in all different weather including snow, rain and sandstorms. The straps to secure it to the cargo basket could be better but are still strong and durable. I’ve used a ratchet strap over the top of the bag as a precautionary measure and had no issues. Overall heavy duty materials surpassed my expectations even when the bag was maxed out with luggage. I had no signs of wear and tear, even after a dozen times of unloading and loading the bag to maximum capacity (4 large suitcases and a couple small duffel bags).

Very happy with this purchase! combined this cargo carrier with the anti-rattle tow hitch and worked perfectly. The 5 hour ride was super quiet, no rattle sounds, no loose straps banging on the car or flapping in the wind, it was wonderful. I found the straps to be very strong and steady, despite some of the reviews I read. I’ve used this on some long hot and wet trips from GA to Miami and it is great. The quality is fantastic and tough. The zippers are the strongest I’ve seen. Works perfectly with my Curt rear basket.
