Super sharp knife!
If you are looking for a paring knife, buy this immediately. Not only is it one of the best paring knives available at any price, it is an absolute steal at this price! Now, depending on your needs and uses, a paring knife is typically not the most used knife in the kitchen. But when you need to cut something small or finely and the chef's knife is just too big, this paring knife is up to the task. It makes quick work of absolutely anything. It is extremely sharp right out of the box and slices through everything like....well....a hot knife through butter. I have yet to sharpen it after several uses and it is still sharp. Clearly, it holds its edge well. Since I am going for utility in the kitchen and am always budget minded, I did not mind the plastic handle of this knife one bit. It's not going to win any awards for the most beautiful paring knife in the world, but honestly, who cares. For this low a price and this high quality of a knife, you can't go wrong if you're looking for something simple that will get the job done, each and every time!

Simply Great!
These are the small workhorses of our kitchen and I don't think there is a better value out there in a paring knife. Sure, Globals, Henkles or Wursthorff are sexier and have a lot more cachet, but I'll take these every time. This month we needed some new paring knives (a couple had gotten lost) so my beloved got me a pair of Global's at William's Sonoma. Beautiful they were in a very nice box and they came with a price tag of more than $130 for the pair. Knowing how most of the knives get abused around our kitchen (Beloved doesn't think 2x about tossing a knife into the sink), I had her return them and bought a pair of these for $15. Pros: - Sharp as heck - light and easy to handle - Hold an edge well - Easy to sharpen - One piece handle - So inexpensive I don't fret about them Cons: - Nothing to look at - They feel very light - They have no upscale appeal - Tips do bend if they are used to pry things These are great!

Great value, but don't expect great feel
Let me start by saying I feel that this knife is a great value for the money, and thus my 4 star rating. The steel looks like it is good quality and the knife came razor sharp. With that said it is way too light for my comfort and frankly feels as cheap as it cost. The plastic is hard and makes the knife feel flimsy. I have several other Victorinox knives that were also priced well, but do not feel cheap like this one. In particular, I love my bread knife and chef's knife. They have better handles, more heft, less flex in the blades, and nicer polishing on the side of the blade with markings. This knife has no print on the side of the blade, which kind of makes it look like a cheap knockoff. Speaking of flex, that is probably my main gripe with this knife besides the light weight. It is quite flexible and honestly doesn't feel very safe to use. I much prefer the feel of my Wusthof paring knife, which has a much more substantial feel in the hand. I know it's not a fair comparison as that knife costs way more, and thus I rate this knife 4 stars for good value and doing its job of cutting quite well.

A really useful knife which I reach for all the time.
This is a really good find. It is a useful and durable knife that I reach for all the time in my kitchen, and I am sort of a knife fanatic. I have tried literally 7 different paring knives and while they start out sharp, they generally need a lot of care and re-sharpening/honing. This knife feels light and kind of flimsy but it has a very thin blade and is actually very durable. It is kind of like using a scalpel, which I use at work. It is very light but has a very sharp edge and re-sharpens easily with a sharpening steel.

Nothing compares!
I chose this knife when, after investing in a very pricey Zwillig Henckels set & discovering that they went dull after only a few uses, I began to read reviews to find the best. This knife won in all of the reviews, and it deserves every bit of the praise it's been given! At first blush, it feels & looks like a dollar store find, but au contraire, mon amis! This is anything but! The slim (yet contoured for a comfortable grasp), lightweight plastic handle allows you to swiftly, easily, & precisely maneuver the ultra-thin, scalpel-sharp blade (no, that's not used colloquially; it's ACTUALLY scalpel-sharp: I compared the two!). Don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker for a hefty handle on a perfectly balanced knife, but the truth is that heftier handles simply don't move as swiftly, so they're more difficult to use for fine, detailed work. This paring knife is perfect. In every single way, perfect. I'll never buy another knife! Victorinox, you had me at, "Hi! Want me to hull that teeny-tiny, super ripe strawberry for you?" Swoon.

Tiny little workhorse
I used to have this knife and owned it for nearly ten years. We moved and for some reason left it behind, so we immediately reordered it. This knife beats out all other paring knives. It is super sharp, with a very thin blade useful for all sorts of purposes. As other reviews said, it is very light in the hand so if you want a more hefty handle, it does take some getting used to. However, it is very precise and I use it for all sorts of things in the kitchen from fruit and veggies to seafood and meats. Its wonderful when you just want to grab a quick knife and not do any major washing as it rinses easily. It stays sharp for a very long time but if you get the non-serrated one, it is quite easy to resharpen if and when you ever need to do so. We store it on a magnetic knife block on the wall so it does not get dull quickly in a drawer. Highly recommend this paring knife!

Victorinox makes excellent knives......hands down!
I've purchased several Victorinox knives over the years and believe they are the standard for affordable knives that are definitely a step above the rest. There are more expensive models out there that perform slightly better but in my opinion, this is the best knife for the money. It arrives super sharp and does not require any honing for several weeks. In fact, I have yet to hone one that I bought over 6 months ago. My only complaint, and this is completely a personal item, is that the handle is a little small and thin for my taste. I have short stubby hands and would have liked a little beefier handle but that shouldn't take away from the overall quality of this blade.

Slicing and dicing like nobody's business
I bought this second paring knife along with a Victorinox fibrox chef's knife for my father. Nothing says endorsement like buying multiple version of a product :) My own pair of Victorinox are the every-day workers in my household, and they've held up extremely well over the past 3 years. Frankly, they look like new, and I use them so often. The more I've gotten to know my knives, budget and expensive, the more I realized that a knife is the most important tool in a kitchen. I absolutely love the Victoronox Fibrox Chef's knife. I wrote an exhaustive review on Amazon for it. I also own a $140 Wusthof and have another exhaustive review of it. Whether you're a serious chef, slicing day in day out, or an average kitchen joe, you will benefit when your utilities cut like a dream. •• Pedigree •• Victorinox are the makers of the Swiss Army Knife. If you've ever owned one, you know they last damn near forever. Their paring knife is no exception. They also offer a lifetime warranty, which you'll likely never need to cash in on because their knives are so well made; however, it's always nice to have a little insurance. •• Sharpness •• Out of the package, it was sharp enough to take my nail off. Victorinox blades are a high quality carbon steel. They aren't so full of carbon that they're prone to rusting, and they aren't pure stainless steel, so they keep a sharp edge. In my opinion, especially for the price, they're the perfect knife for daily kitchen duty. I've never had a paring knife to rival it. It easily slices through everything I need it to. The other reviewers were right. In a dollar to performance ratio, these things are awesome. •• Grip •• Honestly, this is the Victorinox Fibrox line's best attribute. Whether your hands are soaking wet or not, you will be able to maintain your grip. That's why I love my Victorinox Chef's knife for breaking down chickens. It doesn't matter how slimy my hands get when peeling off skin, I can grip the knife with 100% firmness. There's zero fear of slippage. The same can't be said for my more expensive knives with smoother, glossy handles. That's why I feel the Swiss line are so darn competitive in terms of multipurpose kitchen knives. •• Price •• I got this for $8.99 as an add-on item, but it's typically around $11: a steal for this knife, honestly. •• Conclusion •• I couldn't be happier with Victorinox, and having used a variety of their knives along with the competition, I'll always recommend them. They're not just a budget option. In my opinion, you get way more than you pay. Buying an excellent knife is like going from a grainy black and white TV to high definition. It truly changes your perspective. Once you've seen it, you'd be crazy to go back.

corta muy bien
el cuchillo tiene un gran filo, no se cuanto dure ya que apenas llevo 2 meses con él , pero corta muy bien; el plástico del mango se siente un poco "sencillo" pero por el precio no puedo exigir mucho

Small and Sharp. Don't Lose it!
This was a good, sharp knife that I was pleased with. The only problem was that it was a bit too sharp for one of my family members, who worried someone might get hurt with it when peeling fruit or veggies. The knife is, however, fairly small as the blade length indicates. This proved its eventual undoing, for sadly the nice was buried in a pile of peelings, and when the plate of them were dumped in the recycling basket, the knife seems to have gone with them without anyone noticing. However, for people who do not suffer from bad eyesight or luck, this is a good tool!

Perfect
Very good product, I had a favorite knife that I used for daily for 30 years that finally had its day. I spent a long time reviewing knives and settled on this one. I am so pleased with the knife, its perfect. It is a comfortable knife in hand and is very sharp. Can cut see through potato pieces with ease for chips in air fryer. Really happy with this purchase.
