How does this oil compare to the 30K oil for speedcubing? What are the advantages to using 50K instead of 30K?

The 30k isn't thick enough In my opinion. Fair warning when you apply this the first time it will take a few minutes to break the lube in. At first it may feel a bit thick but once you solve it a few times your cube will be faster than ever!

What is this used for?

Its a specific viscosity silicone lubricant used inside differentials on Rc cars. Thinner viscosity makes one tire spin under power and thicker makes both driven wheels 'lock' more.

When applying to rubik cubes, is this only for the axis/springs or it can be applied to the plastic joints of the pieces to reduce dynamic friction?

It depends a bit on which cube you're using, but for the most part the friction from the axis and springs is going to be minimal in comparison to the friction between the separate cubies. You can still definitely apply lube there to try and reduce as much friction as possible, but you're probably not going to notice much a difference.

Is this spray lubricant?

It is not spray lubricant. The bottle has a nozzle with a tip as shown in picture and you squeeze the bottle to make the lubricant drip out.
