This system is amazing. I have thinning hair due to PCOS and a severe hormonal imbalance, with very high DHEA. I have tried everything. Nioxin only dried out my hair and damaged it, Avalon was worse (it was like an industrial strength degreaser that stripped my hair and damaged it in only a few uses!). Pura d'Or was the same way. I was afraid nothing would work for my hair. I bought this system out of desperation to find something that could slow down my hair loss. Not only did this system help with that, it also gave my hair incredible texture and a new life! It went from an almost hay-like texture after using Avalon, to a silky texture with weight and body, but not weighed down like I expected. I absolutely adore and recommend this to anyone and I will continue to buy this system, even if it is a bit more than other products, because I wholeheartedly believe in it. The shampoo emulsifies incredibly well. I only use half a pump. I've used it twice a day (that's best for removing and blocking the DHT and 5-alpha reductase that causes hairloss) and I'm only about a 1/4 way through the bottle! It's incredibly long-lasting for a smallish bottle. I've never used a product of this quality before. The conditioner I recommend getting an extra bottle of. Where I only use 1/2 a pump of the shampoo, I like 2 pumps of the conditioner on my short hair because it seems to soak right into the hair and scalp. The ingredients of both are stellar for blocking DHT, and promoting hair growth. The treatment oil is a really good addition for night use. I highly recommend leaving something on your scalp overnight that can assist in blocking the DHT that causes hair loss. I found the scent of the products to be very nice. It's rather herby and I find it comforting. If your hair is thinning, check out my other reviews of things that have helped me. In particular, the high frequency generator I bought for $20. It has been a miracle that has made this system work even better. If you only have money for one or the other, get the high frequency generator. It helped my skin tighten, made my bulging veins sink back down, and has reduced hair fall out by 1/10 in only a few uses! It so far surpassed my expectations that I can't believe it's only $20. I hope it works as well for you. It's been a godsend for me! Also, if you have PCOS or high testosterone, do research on licorice root tea. I have been drinking 6 bags of Stash's Licorice Spice tea for only two months and it reduced my excess testosterone by an extraordinary amount. I went from 155 to 51 in just two months with no drugs. That has helped my hair come back quite a bit. Also, D-chiro Inositol is the natural form of Metformin without side effects. I can't tolerate the drugs they want me to take, so finding out this information has been a huge blessing that I hope helps others. . . . UPDATED: 10/27/14 I am just under half the bottle at this point. I can't believe this has lasted so long. I still love it and think it's amazing. You really have to shake the shampoo every time you use it because it separates quite a bit. Updated 7/1/16 My last order was April 9th, 2015. I can't believe it's taken me this long to get through the bottle to order again. I should mention that I no longer do twice a day. I am washing about every other day, so that is making the stuff last longer! Still, that is insanely long for a product to last. I am still in love with this product. I've recently had a downturn in my health. My mono flared up and my TSH went sky high (which means my thyroid is very low). I started losing a bunch of hair, and it got coarser. I'm convinced that this shampoo and conditioner helped to halt my hair loss. My hair is very dry and fluffy without this stuff. I'm so disappointed to see the low star rating this has, based off of people who had bad service with customer care. While I've had product that is slightly inconsistent, as they make it by hand, I've never have it be radically inconsistent, or be noticeably different. I have felt disappointed that this company hasn't shown more interest in their repeat customers, giving them discounts for future purchases, or even thank yous for people who write rave reviews and take the time to update and communicate with Amazon members. It's obvious they need to get their priorities straight and spend a little more time showing appreciation to their customers. This is such a fantastic product. I hate that people have had bad experiences with this company.

This shampoo is absolutely fantastic. In March of 2017 I went through multiple life changing events that caused me a great deal of stress, as a result, it took a toll on my body. I lost over 30lbs within a month, and I began to notice my hair falling out. Sure, we all have experienced shedding due to stress, but I was experiencing shedding at an alarming rate. As the weeks went by the shedding got worse. Soon, months went by and before I knew it, my hair had thinned out by about 50%. I had to cut off 6 inches of my hair because it had thinned out so badly. I was suffering from something called Telogen Effluvium. My hair follicles had been shocked from the stress my body had endured. This caused my hair to stop growing and the shedding to begin. At the first sign of increased shedding I had switched my shampoo, I was using Biotin shampoo by re:line. This was helping for the first few weeks with the shedding, but I did not notice any new hair growth. This product claimed to regrow hair and also thicken hair, I never saw this happen. I was using this shampoo up until 2 weeks ago (10/1/17) when I switched to Just Nutritive's Hair Therapy Shampoo, and this was the best decision I could have made. I was defeated up until I started using this shampoo. I had tried hair masks, serums, I've been taking supplements daily, giving myself scalp massages. I was even avoiding blowing my hair dry. Anything I could do to help reduce the hair loss. Nothing seemed to be helping. I had lost so much hair that I was developing a small bald spot in the back of my head where I have a cowlick where my part ends. I developed scalp tenderness. It was awful. Of course the added loss of losing your hair only adds to the stress further, so it seemed like I was caught in a vicious cycle that was never going to end. Within the first week of use of Just Nutritive's Hair Therapy I noticed immediate results. My scalp actually tingled from the essential oils, I could tell that this product was helping to clear out any clogged hair follicles. After about the third wash, I noticed prickly hair all over my scalp, when giving myself a scalp massage. I couldn't believe it. I was so overjoyed that I actually began to cry. By day seven I was no longer losing gobs of hair in the shower like something out of a horror film. Everything seemed natural. Now, after 2 weeks of use, I combed my hair after my shower and only pulled out 4 strands of hair from my comb. The bald spot is no longer visible, my scalp tenderness is gone, the volume is slowly returning to my hair, especially at my scalp. I am not crazy about the smell of the product, but I am crazy about the results, so I can live with it. One thing I will mention is that I do shake the bottle before pumping as recommended. I also rinse my hair with cold water to help stimulate the hair follicles. I've seen it recommended to even use bottled water, but I live in Hamilton, OH and we're known for having the best filtered tap water around. Hamilton actually bottles and sells their tap water. Anyway, depending where you live, you may even want to try rinsing your hair with bottled water occasionally if you feel like your tap water could be causing further damaged to your hair. I am also using the Just Nutritive's Hair Therapy Conditioner. I've also purchased the Grow New Hair Treatment and I've begun using this oil when giving myself scalp massages. I've used this twice now. To sum things up, I love this product! I'll never go back to another shampoo. My hair feels healthy and clean; I no longer have build up. I cannot wait to see the results after a month of use. I'm looking forward to the day when my hair is long and thick again. Maybe even thicker than ever!

Usually I have to mix shampoos with water so I can get them to foam to my liking and to not use so much product. With this shampoo I don't have to do that, which is awesome and kind of strange because this shampoo is free of sulfates and sulfates are what make shampoos foam up. I find that most shampoos bought from the drugstore and even some from salons have a watered-down consistency but the consistency for this shampoo is nice and thick so you don't have to use a lot of it to coat all of your hair. I think the fact that you have to shake the bottle before use helps the ingredients mix and aerates the product. It does take a bit longer to wash my long hair because you're supposed to let the shampoo sit for a couple minutes but it rinses off so cleanly and I've noticed my scalp is less itchy and dry right after washes. Most natural/organic products have a distinct smell, kind of fresh and raw as opposed to processed with a strong fragrance. This shampoo smells quite nice to me because of the essential oils and natural fragrances. As far as preventing hair loss it's difficult to say. It worked amazingly well the first month, the amount of hair that ended up in my shower drain was significantly less. I also have the conditioner but I am not a fan of that at all. It's not moisturizing for my dry hair and it doesn't help de-tangle, which makes it difficult to brush my hair wet, damp, or dry. After a month of using just the shampoo and the conditioner I started to mix a deep conditioner with the hair loss conditioner. It was easier to brush through my hair but I noticed hair falling out again. I think I'm going to stop mixing my deep conditioner with the hair loss conditioner and just use a leave-in conditioner that you can use on damp hair, but I will still use the deep conditioner once a week. I give this product 4 stars because it is expensive but I would definitely buy this shampoo again. It feels so much better on my hair and scalp than traditional shampoos and I don't feel like I'm wasting so much product trying to clean my hair. Hopefully this review helped those of you considering purchasing this product.

THE SMELL: In my opinion, it does not smell bad. But, it is definitely not the flowery/fruity/perfumed smell that we are accustomed to in a shampoo. It has a very herbal/earthy scent, almost like rosemary and olive oil combined. It's not a bad smell, but I can see how people wouldn't want their hair to smell like it. I use Aveda styling products after I shower, which are stronger than the shampoo smell so my hair usually smells good. THE SHAMPOO: I used the shampoo by itself for two days to get a feel for it. With the first wash, my hair felt thicker (the strands themselves felt thicker, I did not notice a difference in the thinning that quickly). But, as others have said, it did leave my hair feeling more coarse and dry, so I did not like the texture of it. That changed when I started using the conditioner. THE CONDITIONER: I believe it is essential to use the shampoo and conditioner together for this product (or at least some type of conditioner). I did not like the texture of my hair with only using the shampoo, but the conditioner counteracted that. Now my hair is soft and shiny. It only takes a tiny bit of conditioner to go a long way. THE HAIR LOSS: Since I just started using the products a week ago, I don't have much to report by way of hair loss. I will update this review once I hit the 3 month mark to see how it does. It does appear to me as if I have less hair falling out in the shower, but I don't have enough evidence yet to back that up. It absolutely does make the hair feel thicker and fuller, though so when I am styling it, it feels like there's more hair, even though I do still have the bald spots.

I like this shampoo, it has a nice frgrance, lathers well and does a nice job cleaning my hair. As far as hair regrowth goes, I've been using the shampoo according to directions for a month and I see no improvement to my hair loss. I have to talked to one other person and she had different results, so your experience could be different from mine.

I have thin hair and sensitive skin. When I could no longer use Nioxin or Aveda products for hair thinning due to sensitivities, I was originally happy to find Just Narurals. Like Nioxin, it prevented hair loss. I had been happily using this company’s products for two or three years. However, I will never buy any again. The hair loss conditioner used to have a wonderful scent that had some powerful aromatic quality. Inhaling it every morning in the shower made me feel good. However, the most recent bottle I bought smells different. There is a slight scent of something, but it is definitely not the same therapeutic aroma. So I checked the label to see if it had been reformulated, but the ingredient list was exactly the same. This wouldn’t bother me terribly, except the hair loss shampoo I recently bought left my hair feeling gummy and weighed down. The instructions are to shake the shampoo well, and I always have. However, with this bottle, shaking didn’t help. Again the labels were identical. I had to throw it away. As for the nutritive herbal gel with vitamins, it used to have a very strong fragrance that I felt neutral about, and now it doesnt. While I consider this a plus, either this or the conditioner is giving me small sores on my scalp. These are the same types of sores I get from Aveda products. My conclusion is I either can no longer trust this company’s labeling, or I cannot trust the consistancy of their manufacturing process. I’m disappointed to have to hunt for another company that has natural ingredients that are okay for my sensitive skin and which also prevent hair loss.

Wow, talk about mixed reviews! People seem to either love or hate this shampoo. I'm in the former camp. I've been using the shampoo and conditioner combo for about nine months, shampoo my shoulder-length hair three times per week, and just started my third bottle (still on the second bottle of conditioner). So that tells you how long one bottle lasts--at least four months. The product is very thick, so it doesn't take a huge amount for each shampoo--just make sure your hair's very wet when you apply it so it gets distributed well and makes a rich lather. It leaves my hair feeling unusually soft and thick, more so than salon shampoos I've used. I don't have the complaints of some reviewers. I'm fine with the price; it's as much as I was paying for a high-end salon shampoo, which was not as luxuriant and did not last as long or have natural ingredients as this one. Again, I'm on my third bottle and I haven't encountered any variation in the product. I also don't have to shake it before each use. I should add that I get a regular root touch-up at a salon, and this shampoo does not leach out the dyed color. Does it stop hair loss? Hard to say. I was losing a lot of hair, as others have described here, each time I shampooed (hormonal changes). I started using this product about the same time I started taking lysine and evening primrose (both combat hair loss, I've read), and I'm now back to normal shedding. I highly recommend this product, along with its companion conditioner.
