This sword is excellent. Lasted through an absurd amount of abuse from my son, who played through breath of the wild for years and the whole time he had this sword to go out and defeat monsters with. It was used to slay abominable snowmen, leshen, hundreds of tree variant bokoblins and moblins, and dozens of stone taluses. This sword went through more abuse that I thought possible and it kept on being legendary for years. Finally though, after years of loyal companionship, my son fought something that finally defeated this master sword - the earth itself. Probably a good thing, if I’m honest. Anyway it’s much stronger than you would think and is absolutely worth getting. I’ll definitely buy again.

My 8-year old son bought this with his own money. If you are concerned by reviews complaining it is not a showpiece, make sure you understand that it is a CHILD’S toy. It is scaled to child’s size, hollow to reduce weight, and painted cheaply because hey, they’re going to knock the heck out of it anyway. Even so, we had some good times for about 6 months until the sword broke at the handle. I laid it to rest after failed attempts to glue it but the kid saved the scabbard because it still looks cool and is totally fine. (Maybe he’s off questing for the Master Sword, now?) It takes some really rough treatment, though, so for what it’s worth, I’m giving it 5 stars overall. Good times were had by all!

I got mine just a day ago. It's already half-broken at the hilt. The spot where the hilt meets the handle is a major weak point. All I did was pull it out of the sheath 2 times and the joint is already cracking. Like others have reported, I, too, hear some loose plastic on the inside of the blade. It makes a rattling noise when you shake the sword. Overall, it's worth the $20, but I wish I could find a good alternative in the $50-60 range with more stability and better scale. Some mods worth considering: 1. Pad the inside of the sheath/scabbard to make the blade stop moving around and causing noise. 2. Cut off the handle and insert some metal or something heavy to add some weight to it and better balance the sword. Could just replace the whole handle with wood wrapped in leather/tape. 3. Replace the blade with a foam blade so you can use it for larping. Might also look better with the right paint. 4. Just buy something else. There are a few options for the sword, even a full foam one that looks really good, in the $100 range, but the scabbard is a bit more of a challenge to find. Your best bet is a 3d printed kit for the best likeness, but I'm afraid those 3d prints will be even more fragile than this toy. Things I'd like to see in a v2 Master Sword: 1. a premium version for adults that has the right scale and higher resolution details for the trim. 2. a foam version that still has good likeness and doesn't cost too much, maybe the $50 range. 3. a better metallic paint for the blade and gold trim. I'd like it to look like it has sharp edges and also have a good shine to it.

As a dad, I can confidently say this Legend of Zelda Link Sword is a huge hit in our house. The kids absolutely love it and have been running around on nonstop adventures ever since it arrived. Fair warning to other parents, you will probably get challenged to a duel, so be prepared. The sword is lightweight, which makes it easy for them to swing around, but it is also surprisingly durable and holds up well to all the heroic battles. Great quality and tons of fun. Definitely a win for any young Zelda fan.

This item felt really good. And, it felt real like I was really in the video game. Also the build quality made it feel real. One more thing it came with a case. So instead of just leaving it around with nothing on it the case makes it look cool. Thank you to the people who made it. 😀

This sword is plastic, and it and the scabbard are nicely detailed for a reproduction. It was perfect for my son's (8yo) Link costume for Halloween. The sword is lightweight but sturdy. It may be a little small for adult cosplay, but I would carry it. It also shipped fast and we appreciated that!
