CareSens N Blood Glucose Monitor Review – Easy and Affordable Daily Testing
The CareSens N blood glucose meter is very easy to use and convenient for daily testing. It requires only a small drop of blood and gives results quickly, which makes it helpful for regular monitoring at home. The screen is clear and easy to read, and the device is simple to set up even for beginners. Many people also like that it is affordable compared to other brands. However, some users mention that readings can sometimes vary slightly, so it’s important to test carefully and follow instructions. Overall, it is a good and practical glucose meter for everyday use, especially for people who want something simple and budget-friendly.

Great glucose test kit
Over all an excellent glucose monitoring package, even includes a test fluid bottle that allow you to check accuracy...price is reasonable, 100 test strips seems to be industry standard, often additional test strips purchased separately cost more that the whole package

Did I mention it was PAINLESS?
So far an excellent choice! The kit came with everything needed to test your blood glucose levels. It even came with a handy travel kit for people on the go. The directions were very good and easy to follow. Truthfully, I don't like to get my finger pricked at the doctor's office (it can hurt a little in a weird way). If you are a little squeamish no need to be reluctant to use this injector and lancet. To my surprise it was PAINLESS! I initially stuck myself four times before I got the best depth level set (recommend a 5 for men's rough hands) and located the best finger draw point to get a big enough blood droplet to sample. I do not have an opinion as to accuracy or battery life since I have just began testing with it. For my first test kit it is very cost effective, easy to use, and painless. As they say "even a caveman can do it."

Great product at a great price!
Very good meter for the price. Comes with everything you need. I can say the lancet device is one of the best I’ve ever used. I thought I had it set too low at first until I saw blood because I absolutely felt nothing at all. Comes with 100 test strips and a box of lancets plus control solution. Not sure on battery life because I just bought it but can’t see that being an issue. I use a Dexcom and mostly only use the meter if I need to calibrate it

I switching between brands due to price and quality
I buy my glucose monitors on Amazon and shift between this product and the linksun. This product occasionally gives bizarre readings and when you’re close to the end of the stripes, it seems like it goes up really high and then when I get a new kit, my readings are back to normal again. I used to prefer the injection stick of this product over others, but they’ve changed it so that’s not true anymore. I’m not as happy with the current version they’ve been selling compared to what they used to sell. They’re not going to like me saying this, but if I have a choice between this brand and the linksun I would purchase the latter. Price is always a concern to me and for the price, I would definitely not choose this one. I went ahead and gave it four stars because it’s not horrible. It’s just no longer my preferred choice due to price and quality.

Big margin of error
This meter gave me a LOT of stress and grief. Let me start by saying I have insulin resistant PCOS. My A1C was 5.5 which is .1 points away from prediabetic. So I started monitoring my blood glucose levels so I purchased this meter. At first the only out of range reading I would get is in the morning for my fasting sugar. I found out I was pregnant and started CLOSELY monitoring my sugars with this meter. It never read below 90 despite sometimes fasting for 18 hours. All my sugar readings in the morning were to high and sometimes I would test and it would read over 200 after a meal I would quickly double check that number and it would change to 119 and the 3rd test was no better and would say something in the middle like 159. I got new test strips thinking it must be the test strips. Still the same problem. Crazy thing is I got shipped two monitors so I even checked BETWEEN the two monitors. Results were similar on both. I changed my diet drastically, was stressed for the baby and started exercising at night to use up the excess glucose. No change. I dropped 13lbs and dropped my A1C from 5.5 to 5.2 in a month. Still. No change. Frustrated I was sure I was gonna end up being diagnosed with gestational diabetes this time. My dr prescribed me a prescription glucose monitor and when I started using that one my numbers have been phenomenal. Even the fasting number. I’m regularly dropping below 90. My sugar isn’t going above 140 after meals. Honestly it rarely goes above 121. These meters had me crying and stressed and the reality is. That they read HIGH which is not helpful when you’re trying to control your glucose and fasting numbers. I even felt light headed and dizzy and checked my numbers with it and it read 100. Checked the prescription meter and it said 54!!!!! That’s a MASSIVE margin of error. Just pick a different monitor it’s not worth the stress!
