We have a very tall bed. I bought it to help me get in bed so as not to have a stool to trip on. My husband was always tripping on the little stool I was using before. It is very sturdy. Although my husband drilled an additional hole on each side since the one screw on each side wasn't good enough for full body weight. I love how it folds up so as to be out of the way. And with extra anchorage the step is definitely sturdy enough.
