I make small circuits on open circuit boards - and these small pots are perfect for that. They are relatively accurate; smooth turning; and small enough to minimize board footprint !! Also very inexpensive

Used these potentiometers with some servo motors. Super sturdy for soldering.

Work great. A little noise but they are all within 20%. Using them on a flight sim. So far so good.

If you solder onto these becareful, a little too much heat and they just stop working completely. I use them for whammy bars on clone hero controllers and I've burned up about 5 even when using rosin. Just beware these are cheaply made.

Resistance peaks at a little over 180°, stays there for about 45°, then decreases for the rest of the sweep. I test all of the pots this came with, and it's the same story with each one. Yes, these are cheap, but not worth it if they can't even manage a linear response

Need to find ones better made , almost every one has a spot that when you grab the knob to twist it , it opens up the connection inside

Nearly all I've used in a circuit died after soldering. I agree with the other comment that said you'd throw the last 10 away out of frustration. It is pretty frustrating. I come across them in my parts stock and balk at the idea of even trying to use one again. They also don't sit tightly in a breadboard, so they're doubly useless. The only benefit to the design are the three holes. I've used dupont pegs to reinforce the potentiometer mounted vertically affixed to a perf board and very sturdily. (Only to find that the potentiometer had died during soldering, so still a waste of effort, money, and time.) You get what you pay for.

These puppies saved my daughter's ring light since the original mechanism went caput to turn on and off her light. The only thing is though, these arent dimmers, lime her original. Meh, she's just happy to have her light back :)
