As a newcomer to the alcohol marker club, I got this set as a complimentary to my Ohuhu Alcohol Marker 48 Marker set I bought earlier this year. Even though, I'm a beginner to this medium, I find these skin tone markers very easy to use. They dry quickly, are easy to blend, and the brush tip allows for fine details. There is a nice variety of shades and colors but I would recommend swatching the colors beforehand as some colors are more saturated than the color on the cap. For the price and quality, I would highly recommend this set to anyone who wants to start their Alcohol Marker Journey.

Loved the colors they go down smooth and can layer them, it’s so nice. I was able to create a piece with only the colors in this pack. I love the brush and chisel they are a great combo. The markers them selves are super cute to.

What can I say - a perfect set with all of the variations for skin color you could want! I chose this particular set to have more of a choice for layering and blending if needed. I wish this set had a brush tip rather than a chisel point tip but that's just my personal preference. I purchased these and their pastel markers, and will be looking into other sets as well now that I have used them.

I'm actually appalled at the number of reviews requesting for pale skin tones and actually downgrading the product saying it's more for DARK skin tones. This set seems to be in the middle ranges for skin tones and there were more PALER workable tones than DARK ones. This company even released pale skin tones due to the negative reviews, which is actually rather sad compared to how quickly they reacted than say Crayola who has been doing this longer. Anyone who actually understands color would be able to work pretty well with many ranges of skin tones with the ones provided, though like I said a few darker colors wouldn't hurt. It's completely workable for all ranges. I find a majority of these complaints silly, not that it isn't bad to release more colors to work with but actually downgrading the product when they even display their range - so you know what you're in for. Let's get to the actual markers themselves. This was the first set I purchased and they're beautiful. While many have covered the fact they work as well as Copics (which they do) and the cons of no refills and having to buy them as a set these are minor in terms of customer relation and the bang for the buck. This set also comes in a case like the other sets they sell and includes a colorless blender. I'm going through each marker to make sure they all work but overall I'm satisfied. As a long time Tria (anyone remembers those) and Copic user (which I have an even harder time looking for skin tone colors to work with and often have to mix media to get the look I want). While everyone does have a right to rate a product how they want as a customer, it is strange that this gets lower ratings compared to Copic's skin tone pack of 6...SIX Markers at a much higher price per marker. So that being said, if anything, a more muted palette would be great from this company as a lot of the colors have a high saturation or lean towards more reddish hues. I did a rough color sketch to show, and found the colors on the warm side. These are probably your best bang for your buck in terms of skin tone sets, and just keep some colored pencils around for light layering to get more of the look you want. I'll definitely be looking for more sets from this company, as I'm happy with the product so far.

I didn't want to shell out a bunch of money for expensive Copics with limited color selection. I just tried these out last night (see flesh tones in my artwork and the reference photo I used). These are really good markers for the price. Easy to use, and the brush end especially feels intuitive in the hand. I only used the brush for this photo. I really like that Ohuhu includes a little 8.5" x 6" plastic protector to put behind paper to reduce bleeding onto the next page in a sketchbook. I was tearing through my house looking for something thin and light to prevent bleed through and was pleasantly surprised to see that this already in the bag, which I was not expecting and is very convenient. As other reviews have shown, there's also a little swatch card (I'd recommend still swatching colors on the paper you are using because they show up differently depending on paper material/thickness/etc.). I took one star off because the light and dark colors aren't as varied as the mid-tones. I had to swatch and blend practice combinations to find what I liked for the lighter and darker tones or layered the same color several times to build more subtle light shadows, and had to be extra careful when using dark tones for more intense shadows. That was a little annoying because it uses up valuable paper space in the back of my journal, but it's not really that big of a deal when the markers are only $30 and still good quality. There is also not much pink/peach colors for a blush selection, which is probably what bothered me most since having some blush colors brings more vibrancy/life when coloring people. The only blush tones are more like 2 dusty rose and 2 vibrant peach colors. I was hoping there would be at least one very light subtle pink color, but there wasn't any so I had to make due. I also wish the plastic paper protector was a little larger to cover more area but that's barely a valid complaint since it's a complementary addition to the product anyway. Plus if it was too large, then it would likely fall out of smaller sketchbooks so it's probably a moot point. I mainly use a 12" x 9" Strathmore mixed media visual journal for my art so I had to move it around and re-tape it every so often when coloring in different areas. The markers blend well and dry pretty quickly imo. All in all, this is a great value, the markers feel really good in the hand, the packaging/marker bag stands upright which is convenient and keeps everything organized and easy to find when sitting them up on a table, and the little bonus paper protector is a nice touch. Will be recommending to other artist friends and I would buy again in the future.

I enjoy coloring to pass time in the evenings as I unwind from the day, so I am using these markers as an amateur and not for professional use or to make art. These are in upgrade from my Crayola “Super Tips” I’ve been using and I LOVE them. They color so smoothly and have great pigment! The come in a sturdy case with a silicone sheet to put behind your coloring pages to avoid bleed through, a booklet, a swatch sheet, and 1 blender marker. The colors appear more vibrant and intense on thicker paper like cardstock and drawing paper. On regular notebook paper or similar thin canvas, they are not as rich in color (see pic attached). That said, I plan to buy more of these bundles despite that and feel the bleed through is very minimal as you can see on the notebook paper. For someone upgrading from Crayola or Cra-Z-Art, you will love these! Lol. For more picky artists or those wanting a better storage case, they might look elsewhere. I did purchase a fantastic carrying marker case on here that holds over 100 markers and is rigid unlike this case. You could probably cut up the Amazon cardboard box to create little dividers or add some rigidity to this case though to save money. Highly recommend!

Deliver on time and exactly what I wanted.

Okay, I'm not an artist. But I wanted to offer a review that shows a different kind of use. Almost 3 years ago, I adopted 3 senior kitties who were about 14 years old and grew up their whole lives in a no-kill shelter. One of the brothers had medical issues right before we got him. And he went through so much medically during the 1.5 years we had him. I was devastated when we had to say goodbye. Afterwards, I bought a garden spinner as a little reminder and memorial of him. He was an indoor cat but he enjoyed supervised little excursions in the backyard. Unfortunately, the closest spinner I could find was a grey tabby. But our sweet boy was a brown mackerel tabby. There were other things I could've gotten like statues and banners that looked like him. But I really liked the idea of a happy little spinner because I wanted it to feel like he was running through the garden in a way he couldn't do during his life since he was in the shelter for 14 years and then sick the last 2. I really wanted it to look more like him. So I decided to try alcohol markers and I bought this set. First of all the colors worked so well to add different hues of brown and grey in a light handed and blendable way. The spinner really looked like it was made that way. Second, I was worried that the colors would fade in the sun - but it's been out in the open sun for a year now and it's still holding up great. I'm adding a photo showing the original grey tabby and the more "brown mackerel tabby" outcome after using the markers. So I think there are versatile uses for these pens. I think I'm going to buy a green set and try to make a silk plant I bought a little more realistic. I didn't realize until I got home how uniform the variegated white spots were across the leaves and how it made the overall look more obviously fake. I'm hoping I can use alcohol pens to add variation.
