Is there a place to store the microusb receiver?

Not in this case there is no place to store the receiver. The mouse this case if for does, in the battery compartment.

will this fit a logitech g502?

Not comfortably. I tried and the wire kinda messes it up and presses all the buttons which defeat the purpose for me (I also have the g602, I was just curious). If you just want to protect the buttons and plan to just leave the wire out and wrapped around the case then yeah it'll fit fine --- just keep in mind the zipper closes from front to the back of the mouse... which I didn't personally like. There are other more spacious cases on here for you to consider though

Can anyone confirm if this can fit the Logitech G604?

I have the 602, which this is designed for. Looking at different photos/angles of both the 602/604, I believe it will fit. Also, there is some room for error in the case with the 602 in it. So, that should allow for slight variations, as well.

Another mouse carrying case specifies "logitech g602 g604". this one doesn't explicitly say "g602". anyone know if g602 & g604 are the same shape?

yes they are essentially the same shape. I have both a 602 and 604 and they both fit into the 602 case I bought
