– Bovine Collagen Powder Supplements for Women & Men 2x400g

Ive tried a few different Collagen types. The last was a pure marine liquid (super expensive but it was good). But at three times the price of this one - honestly I haven't noticed much difference by switching other than the cost saving. The liquid one also tasted foul and was a faff to mix into drinks / also the packets were not recycleable. I was sceptical of this powder one having no taste but it mixes amazingly into a cup of tea and does not affect the flavour at all. I use a proper table spoon measuring spoon and do 2 x TBLSP a day. One pack lasts a month. Ive been on it a month after taking a break from my last one and I noticed my skin picked up again with more of a ‘glow’ after a few weeks of this collagen. Nails and skin & eyelashes also improved. In fact its amazing for eyelashes! I used to get very dry skin and I notice that I am not experiencing the dryness I used to get after a shower. My skin feels softer too. My dad is trialing the collagen at the same time and he reported improvement on his eczema and we are waiting to see if it helps a little with arthritis pain. You have to give collagen about 6-8 weeks to really see the difference. No product can turn back the clock but I honestly feel that collagen does help skin - along with a healthy diet and I am often told I look younger than my age and recommend taking collagen for hair as well. It definitely helps hair thickness and quality. For women coming up to menopause thats a big deal. I have researched LOADS on collagen and this is the best one in terms of quality and value I have found. I dislike the tablets (the tablet coating is not great for you). Many of the ones out there are rip-offs - if you check the quality and ingredients they are mostly bulking agents and junk! This one is good quality and only £20 month and many folk spend that on wine or takeaways without a second thought. I figure it doesn't do any harm and I think it is worth the investment. There is not enough medical testing to officially support it but everyone I know who uses it reports improvements in skin, hair and nails and if it helps other internal bits thats a bonus! Also - love the packaging, I switch mine into a tub but its nice to be able to recycle it. Hopefully one day they can source the product from British cattle and then it will be perfect.

I’d been doing some research on the benefits of different types of collagen after surgery on my spine and decided I wanted a quality product from a brand I could trust. After some searching and trial and error I found these guys who produce GMO free, grass-fed collagen in the EU. They’re not the cheapest but I trust the brand, I like that they source collagen from the EU rather than the US (U.K. would be better), their collagen powder dissolves better than the competition, and I actually quite like the taste. The only issue I have is that they don’t do a type 2 collagen powder and said that the reason is the taste would be too strong for customers. I can’t find type 2 powder from the EU anywhere else so I’m hoping they change their mind. They seem to be committed to developing quality products so I’ll stick with them for now.

I use this, along with the Hunter and Gather Thrive Coffee Mix, in my first coffee of the day. There's no flavour to this (which is great) and I'd recommend mixing it with a electric milk frother...but some vigorous stirring works too. Great for a keto diet!

I heard about Hunter Gather as a brand a couple of years back and since buying from them - have developed total trust in their quality products. This collagen is very much a daily staple for me. I use it for skin health inside and outside (i.e. gut heath as well as keeping my skin supple and smooth) but also to supplement for my protein requirements. I use this in the morning with 2 heaped teaspoons in my coffee and then again sprinkled over my berries to help keep blood sugars balanced. I also add to any smoothies I make to add the protein element. It definitely supports my energy and also my hair and skin health. I'm 48 years of age and I'd say it's a really good beauty product to help support healthy ageing. Picture to show my good (Lion's) mane of hair and decent skin!

Great product. Was a bit concerned about using bovine collagen, but Hunter & Gather have said the cattle are grass fed and free from GMO's, antibiotics and hormones. Have previously used marine collagen, but not noticed the same health benefits (my nails are so much stronger now since using bovine collagen, so hopefully it means I am benefitting in other ways, as mentioned on their packaging.

Having worked with a Nutrionalist - this product is ideal for me. It’s easily dissolvable in my drinks and smoothies pulling protein for me. It mixes well into the drinks. People have commented my skin looks amazing as have been using it regularly for 2 months so it’s super effective. It’s great value for money and clean compared to others on the market.

This is definitely the best collagen I’ve tried. I’ve tried Boots own (rubbish, you’d need at least 10 capsules to notice any difference). I tried Vital Proteins and didn’t notice any difference. You need around 10g (not milligrams) of collagen peptides to notice any difference. H&G is 13g per serving. I also find if very useful in curbing my sugar cravings through the day. It blends easily. But if you’re using MCT oil also, I recommend mixing in the collagen and or any other powders you’re also using first, otherwise the oil coats the clumps making it difficult to blend smooth. I don’t notice any flavour. To me it’s like a light / skimmed milk powder. My main reason for use was for my skin. I needed surgery and was recommended to use collagen by my surgeon and because I’m nearly 50. It’s helped massively with my skin elasticity and definitely improved my crepey neck and vertical wrinkles on my chest from side sleeping. I’ve not noticed any improvement with my hair. However, 2/3rds of it has fallen out and ‘gone to sleep’ and not keen on waking up again ( I think initially from the stress of having 2 major surgeries close together). Hair naturally has these cycles, but mine isn’t too good at coming back and staying back. I get around an inch of growth and then it falls out again. So I cant say if the collagen caused it or other life trauma. However I have noticed an improvement in my nails. They’re not as bendy.
