Classic for a reason
Okay, I bought this as a "daily use" knife, so I'm not coming from the standpoint of a collector or perfectionist. IMHO, Case makes great "user-grade" knives in a variety of handle materials and patterns to fit pretty much any need, but they're not going to be custom level perfect, so I'm not gonna knock 'em for that. If ya want custom level fit and finish, you're gonna pay a custom level price. On the knife I received, there's a smidge of blade rub on each blade, and one of the spacers has a TINY gap between it and the back spring. That matters 0% to me. I bought this knife to use in my day to day life, and it's perfect for that. The multiple blade shapes are good for a variety of uses, it has a good heft without being overly heavy, it's not blocky despite having the three blades in it, it's comfortable to use every blade, has great "walk and talk," and it's in a bright enough color that even my colorblind self can't lose it easily! Now, a word about Case's CV blades... they will take a wicked sharp edge if you know what you're doing, and tend to hold it pretty well. However, it IS carbon steel, so if you don't take care of it, it'll rust. That being said, dark splotches are the beginnings of a natural patina(stable rust, essentially) that actually helps to protect the blades. Red = Bad Rust(FeยฒOยณ) Black = Good Rust(FeยณOโด) Pretty much every veteran carbon steel user knows this, I'm just letting you stainless guys know so you don't get this one by accident if you want your blades to stay shiny, or if you're new to carbon steel blades. Minimal maintenance is really all that's needed when you get used to it and the patina is established. (The picture is of the new CV Stockman, a CV Copperhead with a light patina, and a CV Peanut with a heavier patina due to how much I've used it through the years) To sum it up, it's a great users knife that will last for lifetimes if it's properly taken care of!

Well-made, gorgeous knife!
This knife is awesome! Perfect size for me. Arrived very sharp and dazzling. This is one of many Case knives I own. I am partial to yellow Cases made with chrome vanadium steel. When you first get it, be sure to oil the blades. I use mineral oil. Or you can force a patina on the blades by sticking them in an apple for a while, which I occasionally do. If you don't protect the blades by doing either of the above options, the blades WILL rust. Take care of your knife otherwise it will rust and be junk. On my particular Stockman, there is a fair amount of blade rub. I expected some slight rub, but not quite like this. Eh, I still love the knife and use it. I can live with the blade rub. Even though it's beautiful, it's not a museum piece; it's meant to be used!

Most improtant tool I own
This is a replacement for the exact same knife I have carried for 18 years. A knife I have relied on and carried in my pocket knowing it was an extension of myself. After 18 years of steady service my old Case medium stockman has been sharpened and honed to the point of becoming somewhat unsafe so I replaced it with the exact same knife hoping for another 18+ years. The yellow scales are beautiful and remind me of knives when I was a kid. The scales and bolsters on my original have aged beautifully and still look new after all this time. An excellent value and a knife you will carry with pride for years. Made in the U.S.A and I am proud to support an American company like Case.

Good size, Case knife quality
I really like this knife. It's small and it's easy to carry in the pocket and it manages to handle every single job for which I normally need a knife. I'm a great fan of the Stockman pattern, carbon steel blades and Case knives in general. Right now, I think I own nearly a dozen Case Stockman knives in various sizes, blade steels and handle material. The 3 5/8" is a good medium size for most people. I also find the yellow Delrin grip panels to be evocative of past generations and extremely durable for normal use. Remember, carbon steel blades need extra attention to prevent rust and corrosion. If that's a problem, consider stainless.

The pocket knife you will carry for the rest of your life.
I think this is the best pocket 3 blade stockman that Case makes. I have this and the Large Stockman, which is also a great knife, but the medium is a far better pocket knife if you work in an office much because it is lighter and easier to carry in your pocket. The large is great if you can wear jeans or casual pants, but if you have to wear slacks, the medium is the one to get. The sheepsfoot blade will be the one you find yourself always using, and sharpens very easily with a simple ceramic rod.

Classic design and quality
This classic design is an extremely well made knife that will give everyday use for many years. Solid, with excellent fit and finish, it is made in the USA, and is far superior to foreign-made copycats. Don't skimp, and instead pay a few extra dollars for this quality product which will last and last. My copy came with extremely sharp edges on the blades right out of the box. The Chrome Vanadium steel requires slightly more care to protect against rust, but gives better results than stainless steel blades. Buy this classic American knife and you'll have no regrets.

I Love that chrome vanadium steel.
Very nice medium size knife. This is my new work EDC knife along side of my Swiss army spartin. Very sharp and easy to sharpen. Update: I now have had it for a few months and I have to say it's a good little pocket knife. I have been carrying it around more than the other blades I usually carry (Swiss Army Spartan or Pioneer). I like having two blades in my pocket ( large & small). But lately I have been just carrying this little guy as it's light and you don't even realize that it's in your pocket. I have at least 7 of the yellow scale Case knifes and this bad boy all ways seams to be the one I grab.
