Works exactly as advertised
This is a great, easy way to add or relocate an existing switch. The range is excellent: my transmitter (the switch) is about 60' from the receiver (the part that wired into the junction box) in a covered outdoor location and response to the switch is 100% and instantaneous. I opened the transmitter up to note the battery type before installation. It is a CR 2032 "watch style" battery (included). I was impressed by the layer of silicone waterproofing inside the transmitter, a testament to their claim of water resistance. However, do note that replacing the battery requires opening the transmitter with a small screwdriver while trying not to break tiny and seemingly delicate tabs that hold the case closed. The transmitter is designed to stick on a wall with double faced tape and to replace the battery would require removing the transmitter from the wall and replacing with new double faced tape. Hopefully the battery will last for months so this won't become a frequent annoyance. It is a shame they didn't design this unit to fit a standard junction box with a Decora-style electrical trim plate; that would make for an easy and ideal installation with what is called an "old work" electrical junction box; such an installation would require a hole in the wall, but it would require no wiring inside the wall and would end up looking exactly the same as any other wall switch. The instructions are actually not as bad as some reviewers have stated, but what is confusing is the fact that they have used their own color coding for the wires. Red in their case is line (hot, which is black in US standards), Brown is load (again this would be black in the US), and the unit has a confusing two blue wires that represent neutral (white in the US). In the US we would customarily see only one neutral wire coming out of the device as neutral is normally not switch but instead passed through in the junction box, bypassing the switch entirely. This begs the question: does one need to separate a neutral in and neutral out for this switch, or can both neutrals simply be connected to the neutral bus in the junction box? I tested simply connecting both neutrals to the neutral bus, as is standard in the US, and the unit worked fine so the neutral is not for some reason switched inside the receiver, they are simply two leads connected to the same common neutral. I hope this info makes installation clearer for those who understand what I am talking about. Finally, I never tried using the supplied wire connectors; they appear inferior as many other reviewers have noted and likely not up to code as well. I used traditional wire nuts, worth a couple cents extra for peace of mind. Aside from instructions that are only fairly good, and confusing wiring protocol, and aside from a form factor that almost matches other switches but simply doesn't, this is a great product that works well and appears to have very good weather proofing. I cannot speak to durability over time as I have just installed mine today, but as of this moment I am thrilled with the ease of use, the price, the quality and of course the convenience it adds for my purpose.

Additional functionality beyond description; works well for me
While the description tells about connecting the wireless switch receiver AFTER the existing hard-wired switch, that scenario would not work for me. To illuminate my backyard, I needed a wireless switch inside my house to turn on/off outdoor lights on a backyard shed. The shed has a hardwired switch. I did not want to lose the use of the existing hardwired switch for the times I was outside around the shed. To achieve this, slightly different wiring is required. Essentially, the solution is to wire the output of the wireless switch receiver in PARALLEL with the output of the existing hardwired switch. (All neutrals are tied together.) This is permissible as the wireless switch receiver utilizes an internal relay. Doing this, however, does NOT result in the functionality of a 3-way switch: 1) The hardwired switch must be turned off to allow the wireless switch system to remotely turn the lights on/off. (The wireless switch system has full on/off control). 2) The wireless switch must be turned off to allow the hardwired switch to turn the lights on/off at the shed. (The hardwired switch has full on/off control.) Installation was quick and easy. The wireless switch and receiver are made well and seem to be well-designed. Pairing was easy per the instructions. The receiver's antenna makes for very good range, and the receiver is fairly small to fit inside a junction box. I like the wireless switch module's size and use of a common CR2032 battery. After wiring as described, it immediately worked as expected. Assuming reliability is good, this is a useful, easy-to-install product as well as a problem-solver! 1/28/23 Update Switch is still working well. I want to add that I'm using it to switch less than 100 watts of LED lamps.

Great product, well made, been using for 3 years and still going strong.
I love these switches! Easy to install, work well and look good. I have 3 of them in my house. I bought the first one 3 years ago, still works excellent for the light above my kitchen sink. The old light was a pull string with no wall switch from the 50's. Popped in an led wafer light and this switch...Slam Dunk!!! The others are in closets that had pull strings. Great product!

works, but hard to get started
put this in my parents ceiling fan to control the light, it was easy to install, and easy to control, which they like, but it was very hard to get the controller to pair with the module, the instructions were completely worthless and wrong. Basically you need to hold down the button on the module for 3 seconds until it flashes fast, then while holding it, hold down the button on the remote for a a few seconds as well, then the lamp will turn on to show its paired.

Perfect so far
I got a light remote similar to this years ago but it quickly failed.. twice. Decided to give it another go with this different brand. It’s a quarter the size of the one I replaced! It’s compact size makes it fit much easier into the light box. Also includes very convenient wire connectors so installation was very easy, the instructions had some poor English but simple enough to understand. Importantly, it has a setting to allow it to work properly alongside a hardwired switch! By default it stays off after power loss, but you can easily change it so that it always goes to the "on" state, which is perfect for use with a switch. It has a long external antenna which was good because you can string it outside a metal box for better reception. The remote button has a nice size and look and pleasant to press, plus works without issue, with a gentle click sound. No complaints so far hopefully it holds up with time! (unlike my previous ones)
