Quality
Ok, full disclosure… I’m a complete amateur. The kind that gets a few compliments because of a few cell phone snapshots and then decides they need to a dslr only to realize just how much phones do the work for you. So far, I reaaaally suck on that dslr. Everything is dark. I hate my photos, and I kinda want to cry that I spent so much money on a camera I clearly had no business buying for a “weekend hobby” when my cell phone works just fine with no extra equipment. Flash forward, I put the typical armature’s research in and decided I could fix all of my problems by buying a light kit. I skimmed a few articles on google, read some reviews on Amazon and pulled the plug. I bought a kit. Not this one. Another one. I set it all up and found out I still suck at the dslr. So… I do what any self-respecting amateur does. I decided I would buy more gear. This time I put more into the research before deciding. Based on the kind of photography I am interested in this kit seemed to fit the bill so I dropped another chunk of change in an attempt to get the pieces for a kit that would actually do me some good. The kit came. The equipment looks like it is in good shape BUT IT WAS MISSING PIECES! I’m devastated. Obviously, I’m going to continue being terrible at photos because the pieces I was looking most forward to using were the exact pieces that didn’t come. I grumpily reach out to Amazon, who was zero help btw. Asked a ton of questions and had me thinking they were going to do literally anything only to have them tell me reach out to the manufacturer. Did they even attempt to give a small tip on how to figure out how to get ahold of the company? Nope. Now, I’m feeling extra fussy. My fame and fortune as a famous photographer is shot. I know I am way too stubborn to put these items back in the box and ship them back for a refund. I’m going to put this kit in the closet and stop picking up stupid hobbies. … except then I found a business card in the box. So… I emailed the company and told them in as many words how unhappy I was with the kit. (keep in mind the missing pieces in no way, shape, or form will actually improve my personal skill level shooting photos and don’t really matter in the grand scheme of life. I’m cranky and I need a reason to suck at photos that has nothing to do with me.) They responded, slowly, adding to my aggravation. While I waited for a resolution, figuring since the parts that were missing were so stupidly unimportant, I likely wouldn’t get more than a “sorry”, I dug out the kit and begin playing around with it. It’s actually a h3ll of a kit. There are plenty of different styles of umbrellas and soft light boxes. I was able to line them up and start playing around with angles and reflector colors to see wth happens to make photos work. The kit was extremely easy to set up. The stands, even though the kit was super cheap, were almost identical to the expensive ones I bought in my first set. I now regret buying the first kit even more. By the end of the first week, I stopped caring that the pieces were missing. The kit was good. Better than good. I was actually having fun playing with my camera even though my photos still suck. That’s all I really wanted anyway. Something to entertain me, right? (yup.) Well, today I came home and there was a box at my door. Turns out the company more than made sure I would be happy that I bought my kit from them. Going forward, any new ideas I get about purchasing gear, my first stop will be with this group because if it’s not perfect, they will make it perfect. …Please note, I tried not to be mean in my emails with the rep because you know the person answering those emails isn’t the person sending out the kit from the Amazon warehouse. If you order this kit and it’s missing something. Don’t be a jerk. There’s a lot of parts and statistically, a few people will wind up not getting every single item. Back to the kit. It’s a h3ll of a kit like I said. If you’re an amateur, or you need the bare bones, get this kit. It might be a little more or a little less money than the other one you’re looking at but it’s worth it. The pieces are solid, they fit well where they are supposed to go. The screws are loose enough you can unscrew them without tools (unlike the other kit I bought), and strong enough to hold firm without having to crank down tightening them. The hold their weight well and despite an amateur knocking them around fumbling to set up, they aren’t easy to scuff and scratch (so far). The wrinkles came out of the back drops with a little wash and a pop into the dryer on a low setting. I wasn’t a fan of the clips because I kept breaking them but then I realized that the design is actually good because the feet popping off kept me from breaking them when I was letting them snap closed. The lighting is good too. Strong light doing exactly what strong light is supposed to do. A good variety of pieces all easy to set up and tear back down. Same for the backdrop frame. Very easy to put together and holds up well. The kit overall does exactly what it’s supposed to and has a pretty good quality compared to the price paid. More importantly, the company behind it cares both about the products they’re sending as well as the customers their serving. That makes it a 5 out of 5.

Everything you need and more for beginners!
Give this a try and you won't be disappointed. I purchased this set because of the wide variety of stands, backdrops, and other tools included. The equipment provided is very durable, especially the lightboxes. Is it the most durable and highest quality set out there? No, but for how affordable it is and all that it includes, you can't go wrong. The box lights are my favorite because they add the perfect amount of filtered light. If you purchase this set, just know that you may want to invest in brighter bulbs for all the stands. I switched to LED bulbs, though the fluorescent bulbs are good for photography and videography. I use the backdrop everytime I shoot. I mainly do product photography and I love how easily adjustable everything is. This is definitely going to be my main kit for years to come.

Surprised and impressed
I'm a pro and needed another whole new set of lighting equipment for another room. The box it shipped in was heavy and took me a while to unpack and setup, but I was pleased because everything included exceeded my expectations. The lighting equipment is super duper quality for the price. Its not the same as my pro equipment because the metals a bit thinner but if you are gentle, it should last a long time. It included a soft nylon bag to store all the pieces which is great, but I prefer to store it inside a hard case to keep it extra safe. This is a good choice for video and photo work for a beginner or a seasoned pro. I think the 65 watt bulbs are much too dim for what I use this kit for, but I can rectify that by buying a new set of LED or CFL bulbs. For the price, quantity and quality of items included in this kit, that is not an inconvenience. I have to give this a 5 star rating because this product is a perfect kit for a beginner to purchase. But even a pro can use it too. Its literally the best deal on the internet I've ever seen. I recieved it in two days without any issues.

It gets the job done!
This is a great set for beginners or photographers who want a light weight travel set. I like the size and light weight of the stands. The umbrellas are thin but they get the job done. The material for the soft lights are thicker and sturdier. I definitely liked how quick and easy it was to set them (the soft lights) up. I did have an issue with my rectangular soft lights but I contacted customer support and it was resolved pretty quickly. The backdrops are very wrinkled but they do come out. The clips that hold the backdrop in place are surprisingly stronger then I thought they would be which is great. The bulbs could be brighter but it’s bright enough. Overall, this set is quick to set up and a great value for the money.

So Much Fun!!
However, I don't use all the parts all the time. I only use the lights mostly as well it should come with use ideas. otherwise the bag ripped and was thin - i am going to get a new bag to carry everything.

Great value for the cost - everything you need!
Very pleased with this product - good value for the price. Everything was packaged nicely and instructions were easy to follow; everything is easy to set up/break down and it's nice to have a case included that will hold it all. I believe if you take care of this equipment, it'll last a good while. It's going to take some practice to learn how to really use all the different lights, but I was able to quickly produce some great images and videos with these tools. Only wish is that it had come with 8 clamps, not 6! PS: a handheld steamer is an essential tool for getting the wrinkles out of the back-drop sheets.

Good Outfit But Needs Some Changes
This sets up and tears down easy enough. My biggest issues are this: 1) the backgrounds that come with this are almost sheer. I have seen cheap cotton fabric thicker than these backgrounds. 2) You have a background frame that it far wider than the backgrounds. Sure you could turn them horizontally and clip them to the frame that way, but then the length would be useless for many, if not most, portrait applications. The backgrounds should be no less than 6” less than the width of the frame. 3) the bulbs that come with this are a cool white light, closer to the line of fluorescent bulbs. It’s a nice light but I would have preferred to see bulbs with more natural light. This has a lot of bang for the buck, but I think that to make it the PERFECT studio setup, especially for beginners, those little changes I listed above need to be made.

Everything you need
If you are a photography student, a new photographer, or just need to beef up your equipment, this kit is perfect for you. It has absolutely everything you need. Everything is sturdy and durable, and the design of the poles make everything so customizable. The bag, once loaded, is H-E-A-V-Y, but it's a quality bag and holds up great. All your essentials and some extras, too.

All good except
All hardwares are in order but we did not expect that the bulbs sent was 110v when our electrical here in Sg is 220. So it happened - all the bulbs blew up when we turned on:(

Great for starting your home studio and on a budget
Updating my earlier review. Initially I received the package without instructions. I contacted the distributor and they were very quick to respond and send me a link to the web copy of the instruction. That was super appreciated and helpful so I didn't have to wait. Everything was in order, no parts or items were missing. New, everything was wrapped in packaging. It took me about an hour to set up everything. Easy to figure out. It's a great and affordable package to start out a home studio. There is ample lighting stands/types and lots of umbrella variety to test and learning lighting. You can see from the video and photo I've included. Everything on the white backdrop is included in this package kit (except for the chair, power extension, and camera of course). The green background is good for green-screen, multi-purpose. White background good all-purpose. The black one, I'll have to test out on photos, not sure how it will look. They backdrops and material definitely need to be "ironed out" as they are square-packaged. It's not recommended to iron, it would burn. I have a special iron that can be used on synthetic material, very low heat. We put a bed sheet on top of each and ironed on that setting every so slightly. That took a while. Again, warning --- not recommending ironing it unless you have a really high quality iron that can be used for that kind of material. Otherwise, follow their instruction, play it safe and use damp cloth to work out the wrinkles. Anyhow, the lighting alone with the background stand are well worth the cost. I plan to buy additional backdrop to hang from the stand -- play around with different sets for pics. Hope the video is helpful. That is what it looks like all set up. It's very easily to dismantle any one them and put them away if not needed or if say you're moving at some point. Comes with a large carry bag. Cheers

Great Value!
I’ve used the set for a few days now and I couldn’t be happier. Everything was well laid out and easy to assemble. I was a little unsure how the top soft box went together but to my surprise the instructions were very clear and included lots of photos and diagrams. This set is perfect for someone just starting out or someone wanting to get into indoor photography. I wouldn’t recommend this set to a professional or someone planning to do a lot of setups and teardowns. The products are well constructed but I don’t think they could handle rough use. Here is a sample photo from my first day of use, I am so happy with the result!

So far so good!
I’ll update this review later on when I get more time with all of it, unfortunately work has been taking over my life so I haven’t had much time to test it out. But so far so good! Good quality for the cost, lots of parts and pieces. Very happy considering I’ve been a photographer for a very long time yet very new to lighting and studio stuff (except for what I have learnt in school many years ago) - I think this will be great to help me figure it all out.
