Whether you are moving into a house with existing old laminate floor or ceramic tile, or preparing your new floor to concrete or MDF boards, this range of self-adhesive floor can be easily applied with simple preparation. Installation Guide Step 1 - Lay Flat For 24 Hours As the self adhesive floor planks are flexible, it may be mis-shaped during storage or transit. To have a firm bonding to the sub-floor, we highly recommend to let the floor planks sit on a flat and solid surface for 24 hours to be corrected to its original shape. Step 2 - Prepare The Sub-Floor This self adhesive floor planks are suitable for the following floor types Concrete floor Laminate floor Large floor tiles MDF or plywood surface Check more details below. Step 3 - Lay The Floor Once the sub-floor is prepared to a clean, solid and flat state, the floor planks are quite straight forward to lay. There are some trick and tips for this step. Please check the next section for details. Step 4 - Seal The Edge To have a perfect finish, use silicone sealant to go around all the edges. This will also help bond the floor planks as a whole to the sub-floor. Installation Tips Clear Cut Use thick blade scissors or Stanley knife for a clear and neat cut. DO NOT use thin blade scissors as it will make the edge rough and crack. Use Gauge Contour gauge is a handy tool to measure and shape the awkward wall shapes, corners or joints at door. Floor Clean & Extra Glue Based on our experience, the self adhesive may not work perfectly when there are residues or grease left on the sub-floor. It will help to apply an extra layer of PVA glue. When it happens, apply a little bit extra adhesive will resolve the issue. If you need help, just ask us. *Do not use any thinner to remove the grease as the chemical will react with the glue on our product afterwards. Uneven Sub-floor For Uneven sub-floors, it is highly recommended to do a self leveling before stick down the floor planks.
