**Q: Is it a non-GMO product?**
A: Naturally gmo’d over the course of millions of years.

**Q: Are these preseasoned?**
A: The beans are not preseasoned but are in their natural “just beans” flavor. I was surprised how utterly delicious they are!! For breakfast I added bacon grease, dips add cheese, sour cream, and hot sauce. Great as a side or spread on a taco shell with all the fixings. Better then any restaurant I’ve eaten at. Love them!!

**Q: How long is shelf life?**
A: I put my extra in the freezer, so I would say, a long long time!  I have kept them around for a couple of years with good results, in the freezer that is.  I would also tell you these are among the best dehydrated beans I have found and the only ones I take with me

**Q: I like the Santiago dehydrated refried beans very much, but would like to know: is the lard natural or hydrogenated?**
A: The ingredient list shows lard which is a non hydrogenated oil.  Unlike vegetable shortening, it contains no trans-fats.  Like butter, I find that a small amount of lard is acceptable and not harmful, similar to small quantities of butter vs margarine.

Really good and so convenient! This is an everyday quick food for home or travel. It's also good for emergencies. All it takes is boiling water and 10 minutes. Great taste!
