So many squeakers!
I have 3 golden retrievers. They love this toy. While the head came off because they played tug-o-war with it, the rest has held up mostly for 5-6 months. At this point sometimes a squeaker will pop out. There are so many squeakers in this toy! However, they still use it for tug-o-war, I am surprised it has lasted this long. There is only stuffing in the head.

Cute, durable toy.
It's about as durable as you can expect a stuffed animal to be. I have two new puppies who are still teething and they love these things. I got the Kyjen sheep mat version (it's a square shape, rather than the two rows of squeakers) for the little girl. Both dogs sleep with it in their crate and we take them on trips with us. I've gone so far as to open up the toy and replace the broken squeakers (costs about 5$ for 30 large squeakers). The rest of the toy is fine. Our german shepherd puppy absolutely loves the rattle that's located in the head of the gator as well. The rattle also helps initially getting the dog engaged with chewing on the toy rather than your clothing or furniture. Then they discover the squeakers and it's endless entertainment and a good distraction for your dogs. I haven't had any problems with the thin, decorative material that's represent the teeth, claws and back fins. It's a slightly thicker felt that's soft and flimsy. Honestly, I'm not worried about it. Even if they were to eventually chew these off, they're not a choking hazard. Our little guy has thrown up solid pieces of kibble that are larger and harder than this. Seriously now, common. The eyes are sewn into the head, so there's no risk of pulling them off and swallowing. I toss these in the washer on a gentle cycle to clean off the slobber and dirt about once every couple weeks and the squeakers are fine, though they sometimes have to dry out to be 100% functional again. It never takes long. Overall, I love the amount of squeakers just due to the breaking problem with have with single squeaker toys. Once they break, the dog loses interest. Which is also a nice way to train the dogs the difference between the non-squeaking kids toys. The dogs absolutely love this toy and wont sleep without it. When the fabric eventually wears out (not even a slight issue after a few months), I'll be buying another one.

A must have for dogs
This is a great toy! My dogs totally love it. Let me take you through a journey of my thoughts: Pros: The dogs love it! The squeakers keep them entertained (yes they are all down the back) So far it seems to be durable. I think with the high surface area it just doesn’t get beat up It stays looking good, doesn’t seems to be showing a lot of dirt Our friends think it’s awesome (an added bonus) Cons: Yes it really is huge Yes, it really can make a lot of noise I’m waiting for the inevitable tear and then needing to throw away a huge toy We do love this toy, and have already bought a second for a friend (their dog loves it too!)

Great Toy, But Not Durable
I bought this toy for my five-month-old American Eskimo dog, and he loved it! My dog isn't a big squeaker fan, but he had so much fun with this toy. He played with it nonstop for about an hour, and it was so fun to see him enjoying his toy. Unfortunately, I had to take it away from him because after a while, he was trying to rip out the ridges that line the alligator's back. He managed to rip out two already and was working on his third. I'm afraid that out of boredom, he will try to tear off the rest of the ridges and then the alligator's teeth and claws. I think that I will have to snip off all of the small pieces before giving this toy to my dog again. Even though the toy didn't stay intact for longer than 30-45 minutes, I don't regret buying it. It instantly caught my dog's attention and kept it. This is a good toy. It has 16 squeakers and would be a good cuddle toy since it's soft and big. This toy is longer than my dog! It's about 30 inches long!

Holy Smokes, I Need Sound-Blocking Headphones
This summer I bought the smaller version of this alligator squeaky toy for my large malamute-mix named Rascal. He's a big BIG puppy with an enormous amount of energy. Squeaky toys drive him crazy and he can't get enough of them. The more squeakers the more hyper he becomes. I started looking for the perfect Christmas present for him and caught sight of this little guy. Couldn't pass him up. 32 squeakers! Rascal would faint with excitement. This toy is a little longer than 4 feet long- which is about how long my dog is. It's by far the largest toy he's ever gotten. The head has a rattle in it. And the long body has 32 squeakers individually sewn into their own pocket- so even once he has chewed one of the noise-makers out, he still has many more to go. A few of the squeakers came defective, but I suppose that should be expected when so many noisy parts are involved. I don't think he noticed. The enormous amount of racket he made with the rest of them kept him busy enough. The second I gave him this toy he bounced around like any kid would on Christmas. Excited as heck. He spent a few good hours flinging the toy up in the air, running around the house and yard with it, and just laying around trying to chew each of those noisy things out from the body. He hasn't managed to get any of the squeaker toys out yet- it's been three days of constant play. He spends a few good hours on it each day. The fabric is getting kind of slobber-soaked, but that's presumable with dog toys. His dark black hair also easily sticks to this fabric, so it's beginning to look a lot dirtier than it actually is. But I'm sure he'll destroy it before my inner neat-freak feels the need to clean it. My biggest concern are the felt teeth and claws on the toy. They can easily be torn off and swallowed by the dog. If you want to eliminate that, prior to giving your dog the toy- just take a pair of scissors and cut them off. I just monitored my pup closely and took away the pieces once he removed them. Aside from the felt pieces and the fact the toy attracts hair- I think this was by far one of the best investments I've made for my dog. It's huge, keeps him entertained, and makes plenty of noise! I'm debating buying sound-blocking headphones before I purchase another toy like this again. Very noisy! But he loves it to death, and that makes it all worthwhile. Highly recommend!

"Gator" under supervision for husky pup is loads of fun for her.
Fun loving hyper 7 month old female husky whose an aggressive chewer loves her "Gator". She loves the squeakers, does chew on any & all parts of her toy as she like many textures from soft/fuzzy to hard. 1st Gator we got her lasted a few months. She did chew threw a good amount, it did get dirty & most of the 16 squeakers were missing but I saved like 5 of them & sowed them back in. Once she started chewing thru the head & into the stuffing we ordered a replacement & she's so happy. I have 1 picture of the Gator though it might not look like it's done it was. Zero squeakers remaining, head has 1/2 stuffing removed, torn stitches but not enough where the body could come apart. She managed to eat the stuffing but she was not hurtful & we were able to stop her each time. I recommend "Gator" w/ supervision if you have an aggressive chewing pup. It's durable enough for some tugging & "fetch". It advertised "encourages digging" @ the squeaker but she didn't. She tugged, chomped' "fetch" & whipped the toy w her head but had a blast every time. She actively searches for Gator when she wants to play w/ her toys. 16 squeakers.

Great toy for dogs that love Squeakers
Our boy loves these. The shear number of squeakers allows him to play with it for a long time before he torn all of them out. He loves to carry it around and looks ridiculous when he does because of how long it is. These are one of if not his favorite toy and I keep having to buy him new ones when he does eventually "kill" it. Great toy.

Heartbroken
I wasn’t expecting to get such an incredibly amazing dog toy that was so brilliantly thought out and designed! With the super long size of this alligator and all of it’s squeakers, we had the ability to turn this one dog toy into multiple fun toys, by just tying it up into a ball, or wrapping it around my puppy when she was playing with it, or stretching it out for a good tugging match!! It was her absolute favorite toy, and ours as well! But unfortunately, the makers of this toy chose a TERRIBLE FABRIC!!! I had read reviews that said that people found the fabric started coming out in little pieces all over… but I thought, that won’t happen to us because I don’t let my puppy chew on her fabric toys. We use them only for interactive playtime when we are together. But the small little pieces of fabric started coming off the alligator almost immediately. It wasn’t bad at first, but it has become downright terrible, and the little pieces of fabric are sticking to her tongue and are falling out more and more quickly all over her play blanket. I will sadly be returning it. It’s too bad they didn’t use a better fabric. Otherwise I would have wanted to buy other dog toys from them.

Purchased several times to keep Golden Retriever happy!
This toy keeps my dog happy and occupied. The multiple squeakers keeps him going. Expect a mess though but it take him a few months to get through it. Plus he lives to play tag with it. Great toy worth the mess!

Dog dilemma
Bought for my Jack Russell who decided he wanted the bigger one, bought for the American Bulldog. Luckily, they have swapped and all is calm amongst the 4 legged family. This one doesn't seem as robust as the other, larger one, but, so far is still intact after 5 days and counting. One of the 6 small squeakers has given up the ghost, but it is being well chewed! The squeakers are a lot quieter than the bigger toy, thankfully, as I doubt I could take the noise otherwise. The original large one of this make, is still going strong after more than a year, just 2 silent squeakers! This smaller one will surprise me if it lasts that long tho'......time will tell.

Fun toy, puppy loved it
It survived a corgi puppy. He enjoyed flipping it and attacking the paws.

New favourite toy for both of my dogs
I've had really good result with Kyjen in the past so decided to buy a new variety for my dog's recent birthday. I really liked the look of this alligator because of the length, which opens up so many different types of play opportunities. We definitely haven't been disappointed, this guy was a hit from the moment we took him out of the package. Word of warning, this toy is LONG. Both of my small breed dogs can easily play with it, getting their teeth stuck in and enjoying a game of tug or just having fun wrestling with part of the toy without even intruding on the other dog. The length makes it very easy to share. It is plushy, but we haven't had a lot of shedding. I do 'puppy proof' all toys when I buy them in though and this toy in particular has a lot of small nibbly bits that I recommend removing so that your dog doesn't swallow. I prefer not to have much of anything hanging off a toy that is much larger than a grain of rice just in case my dogs eat a bit. I have a go with the scissors and get off anything that looks easy to chew off before it becomes a problem. My dogs are both destructive, they love nothing more than finding the source of the squeak and attacking until it no longer makes noise. Having the squeakers all the way down the length of the toy seems to work a treat- there are so many it seems an insurmountable task to 'kill' them all. So far, they haven't bothered which is almost a miracle. I'm incredibly impressed with the durability of this toy, I can leave them with it or grab a piece myself and join in the play. Only one hole after over a month and it was easy enough to address- I took out all the stuffing in the area and let them get on with it. They barely noticed. Definitely a favourite toy for both my pets.
