Duplex Medical Insurance Card and ID Card Scanner (w/Scan-ID LITE, for Windows)

Scanner was easy to install and very simple to use. It will be critically important for business owners that are required to file a Beneficial Ownership Report (BOI Report) with FinCEN (Financial Crimes Enforcement Network) before the end of the year, or when something has changed and needs to be reported to FinCEN. Reasonably priced and will be a valuable tool for the office. Also will be useful for Tax Preparers that need a copy of their clients' Driver License for electronic filing through tax software. Scanned images were very sharp. Excellent tool.

It would have been sent back had staff not been so reluctant to start using it. I gave the 1/1 deadline for use and found out: ☆It was difficult to install on the computer. ☆It is super slow to scan ☆The image quality is so poor I cannot read the information scanned, even when I zoom in. ☆It is utterly useless especially since it is so expensive.

We have four of these now. The front desk of this busy medical clinic is tasked with scanning the insurance card that will be used for each patient every time the patient is seen. These days cards change frequently for a variety of reasons and if we send a bill that is rejected because the wrong card was used then it takes added labor and months to recover. We scan hundreds of cards per day. It was necessary to read all the instructions and create a custom card size for the scan so that a slight slip of placement does not cut things off. All just common sense. Very nice scans. Best business card/insurance card/driver's license etc scanner and software I have ever seen. I have been in medical it since 1993 and IT in general since the days that a copy machine required a ladder to fix a paper jam. These are wonderful little scanners and we get great performance out of them. Reading the instructions is a must and being able to think about what to do to get the results you need is also important. I am sure that a novice off the street with anything except the most simple conforming task would be better off to ask a friend who has configured some scanner software in the past because it does require that you understand what you want to accomplish and the knowledge that configuration might be required.

We are having problems with it freezing up! Other than that when it works it works great!!

This product works well, the picture is clear... We did have some small issues setting it up, but were able to figure it out. The downside is that it's not as small as you would think... It's like 6" long and bulky. I wish I would have paid attention to that prior to ordering.

The scanner is very easy to setup and easy to use! The insurance cards scans and save as pdf in downloads, and I can easily upload it into my medical software patient file.

I couldn't load the software. After downloading from internet, the hardware doesn't recognize the program keep showing error code 28. Absolute NON-EXISTENT customer support. Email to customer support is probably lost in oblivion. DON'T WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS LIFE TIME.
