It comes with round rubber pads that you stick to the top of the platform and then set the speaker onto those pads. The pads are very grippy and hold the speaker securely. One would have to really bump into the speaker/stand to knock it off. I have purchased 2 sets of these stands for my equipment. If you buy the stands they need to be modified because on the base there’s not enough weight in the speaker stand with a speaker on it becomes top-heavy.
