To Boot New York Men's Bloor Loafer

Having been fortunate enough to pick up a pair of To Boot New York's Bloor suede driver in dark blue, I jumped at the opportunity to pick up a pair in what they call Pernice, which is really just a nice, medium-deep tan color, for just 88.50 USD! These retail around 295USD, and it's easy to see why. These are superbly constructed suede slip-on drivers, hand made in Italy, which are at once stylish, comfortable to wear, and well suited for wear in technical driving.As kind a nut for both overpriced luxury footwear and advanced driving skillz, it's only natural I've come to own several pairs of dedicated "driving shoes"--from $50 PUMA Motorsport sneakers to $250 G. Brown suede drivers bought from Nordstrom. While good, none in my collection come close to the experience of driving my '14 WRX in my shear-lined-interior Pernice Bloors--the rolled rubber heels, the grippy rubber soles, the solid lightweight construction and the rounded-square moc-style toe come together to make gear shifting and engine revving a tactical dream, connecting the senses directly with the engine, through the foot.Worth noting is To Boot NY's sizing--it must have to do with the lasts they use. In most sneakers and non-To Boot dress shoes, I consistently wear a 10.5 or an 11, depending on the brand. With To Boots, though, I'm an 8.5!! Consistently! I own several models and all are sized 8.5--even wearing a 9 I felt looseness in the heel. So if you're new to this brand, I strongly recommend finding, in person at a local dept store, the size that will work best for you.If you value well crafted footwear, the Italian handmade construction, high quality materials, and stylish design of To Boot New York's line should be high on your list of things to check out.~EB

Runs slightly large. That said, these are the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever put my feet in. Fantastic for driving and well made. BTW they're Italian made.
