Super simple product but it works perfectly and the click lock mechanism is genuinely satisfying every time you use it. Tested it against a ruler I had lying around and the measurements were completely accurate which is obviously the whole point. Really solid and does not feel cheap at all for the price you are paying.

You know a common problem with some inexpensive measuring tapes like this; is that they are often not truly starting at 0. Often the beginning is not very exact which can really make it something to fix or to calculate. This super low priced (small) body tailor measurement retractable tape is perfect. No gimmicks or larger than needed. In fact it’s very well made and the smaller size is also much heavier than some other similar tools like this employ. Given the price I was willing to make adjustments if needed. But this is a serious deal. If this was made with Titanium or had a known label it could be several times more expensive. Plus the overall length is about 60”. It is like a construction metal serious tape retractor but about 2” in diameter and ~ 1/2” in total width. Anyway I can even use the small open area at the start of the tape to hang on my nearest table (which of course has several small hooks for things that get lost immediately!!!

I try to save 5 stars for perfect products. This product is overall pretty excellent so far. I have only used it one time though. This tape measure has a locking mechanism that clasps roughly every 1 and 1/3 inch making it simple to get the length you need without having to mess with a really long strip. The retracting part of the tape measure is pretty strong and if you let it retract without holding onto it, it whips in pretty fiercely and kind of stung a bit as it whipped my arm on the way in! I consider this a pro but if used like this frequently, it could cause damage to the product. The band was easy to work with and easy to read with an inches layout on one side and centimeters on the flip side. There button to retract the band is easy to press and in a convenient spot but not so easy and convenient that you have to worry about pressing it while taking measurements. Overall, the only issue I had was that the locking system is only one way. What I mean when I say this is that the lock will not prevent you from pulling the tape measure out, just from it retracting back in. This made it a very small nuisance to work with beings as what seemed comfortable to me when measuring was to hold the tape measure by the units cage. This caused me to pull additional length of band out when measuring which made it difficult to get the band to stay tot. This can be fixed by simply holding the band but I didn't want the cage to hang and put extra stress on the bands locking mechanism. I can't say for sure if this will cause faster wear on the product over a period of time but isn't much of a concern to me as I don't plan on using it very frequently. Overall - Excellent product

This was the best value for the money I have ever found! It's durable, easy to use, heavy duty measuring tape, awesome lock mechanism, and very important and informative functionality.

I lost a lot of weight the past 6 months and it was time to get new shirts so I needed to measure myself. I needed a tape measure that can give me my neck and chest size but did not want to pay a lot of money for it since I will be using it rarely. This was perfect for me because it retracts and can just put it in a drawer without it getting wrapped around things and it is very accurate and easy to read. I don't think that professionals would use such a thin tape measure but it is perfect for home use. The retraction mechanism is a bit loud when you pull the tape out but if you press the button as you pull it, it works great and it retracts quickly. For this price, it makes sense to have it around the house. It also helps when measuring curved surfaces that I need to cover with cell foam sheets.

When it recently came to my attention that some reviews on major websites can be bought or faked easily, I decided that I needed to do my part in sharing honest feedback about products that I have ordered and actually use, since I rely so heavily on reviews when making purchases online. This tape measure is one of my most recent purchases (New Year's resolutions of losing weight and all). It does its job well! It is made of plastic but seems sturdy. It clicks out with each inch and stays out until you press the side button to retract the tape, which is a cool feature in my opinion. I tested the accuracy against an old ruler we had lying around and it is accurate (The photo doesn't do the accuracy justice because of the angle I took the photo at. In person, it is very clear how accurate the measuring tape is, but I thought I would include that photo anyway). I like it, and I will update my review if that changes any time in the near future!

I don’t use this for tracking biceps or waistlines—I keep it stashed in the driver’s door of my car (see photo). It’s my backup tool when I’m out sourcing decor and need to quickly check dimensions on vases, frames, or artwork before pulling the trigger. The retractable mechanism works cleanly, the markings are easy to read, and it’s small enough to go unnoticed until it’s needed.
