SummitLink Sunshade Sun Hood for 7 Inch LCD Monitor FPV Ground Station Phantom

Not much to say other than easy to attach using the included velcro, small, does the job. Used on a Neewer RX-LCD5802 7" LCD Display.

Much as I love our family's collection of Prius's, they are equipped with one of the dumbest info screens I've ever seen. The car itself has way too much sharply sloped glass to begin with (for better aero effect on MPG) but the combination of the screen's location, angle of the windshield, and angle of the screen, means that the only way you can read the damn thing in daylight is to either sit a hat over it or keep trying to drive and shade it with your hand at the same time. Yeah, not exactly optimum. So, I flip one of these around, mask the surrounding area on the dash, as well as everything but the last inch or so of what is normally the back edge of these things, apply two coats of contact cement to both surfaces, let it dry a bit, and then fit this to the screen surround and weight it down with a couple of bags of shot. Next day everything's nice and dry, the VOC's have de-gassed, and I've got a perfectly functioning sun shade for my Prius screen that cost me less than half to a third of what the purpose-built aftermarket version would be. The fit is good enough that it doesn't detract, so win-win-win as far as I'm concerned.

I use this on a 7" tablet for flying my drone which, of course, is the idea. I didn't attach it directly to the tablet but bought a cheap plastic case and then put the velcro on that. Works great. No shade I've tried can work perfectly but this little shield does well. With the velcro, I can attach it quickly to my tablet and it stays. It's stiff enough to hold shape and dark. It doesn't interfere with getting the tablet in the clamp on my controller. It comes off easily (the way I use it) and folds up small. If you're looking for a shade for a 7" tablet for drone control, this is a good one, especially for the price. I took off 1 star only because the velcro strip you attach to the tablet (case) is a bit too thin and flimsy.

I have had my field monitor for about 5yrs, the shade that came with it was cheap plastic that only lasted about 3mths. I recently purchased this and it’s so much better, it has great quality, fits great, perfect size for a 7” monitor, firm to have great stability, and the matte black matches perfectly.

So far I would say the quality is good and the delivery was relatively quick but the Velcro strap is actually an adhesive velcro strap. The Unit I am putting this on has a rubberized finish and most adhesives just melt off on a hod day so I don't think I will use the adhesive straps and now I need to make some regular straps myself.

Simple product at a good price. Fits my Osee T7 4k 7" field monitor almost perfectly after trimming the velcro adhesive to avoid the side jacks and card slot (see photos). Also folds flat to approximately the same width and height as the monitor to stow neatly below it in my foam-lined case. Not sure the supplied velcro strips will last forever but they're cheap and easy to replace if I ever need to do so. Given that there's currently no original shade/hood available from Osee for the T7, I'm extremely pleased with this unit for the cost. If you're wanting something to install permanently or are ultra-concerned with luxe aesthetics this might not be for you, but if you're on a budget and just want a simple/cheap solution you'd be hard/pressed to do better.

This is the second one I have bought for my UpAir One. The first one cost twice what this one costs and it really never fit right. This one fits perfect on my UA. I was afraid that the velcro adhesive band that goes on the monitor wouldn't be very adhesivey, but I was wrong. Nice thick very sticky adhesive. I do recommend that you clean the sides of the monitor with a cleaner to make sure you have a clean surface. No complaints and would definitely recommend this cover.
