Excellent!

This story is so cute! I love it

Oh, I love this little graphic novel book. It is so sweet. I bought it as a gift, but I will say that there are some things that American audiences should be aware of. Not major things, but cultural differences that may catch you off guard. For instance, there are 1-2 nude images of the little boy getting undressed at bath time. While he is just a baby himself and it's portrayed nonchalantly in an innocent, brief way (as this is no big deal in Japan because he's so little), anatomically correct kids isn't seen as acceptable in the United States and some parents may not prefer it. Plus, at one point they call for the kitten by saying "puss, puss." I don't think it's anything to make a huge deal about, since a lot of cultures still use this term, but in America it can be considered vulgar (thanks to some idiots and their slang), and you probably wouldn't want your kid to learn to call a cat that way. Luckily, from what I saw, it's only on one page (pg53) where they're not sure what to call the kitten. If it does bother someone, they can just use white-out on it and write "kitty, kitty" there neatly. Those were really only the two things. I do recommend the book, though. It has the sweetest little story about a lost kitten finding her place in a new family. It definitely feels like a little slice-of-life kind of story, but is funny and engaging enough for small children.

My tween absolutely loves this series! The stories are cute, fun, and engaging, while also weaving in important life lessons. She’s already used these books for three different school book reports this year and is excited to dive into the fourth one over spring break. I highly recommend this series for anyone with a manga-loving, cat-obsessed tween, it’s a perfect combination!

My 11yo son purchased this on a whim and devoured it in an afternoon, despite it being a quite thick book. He saved up and bought the other books in the series. Recently the book was damaged on accident and he had to buy it again, because it was too important to him to NOT have a physical copy. He is not like this with all books. He's also recommended it to other family members and his friends. So, recommend.

My 8-year old and almost-10-year old love this book and have read it many times. The drawings are lively and the characters lovable. I’ll definitely be getting the next books in the collection.

I bought this book for my daughter for two proposes - getting her first level English reading stronger and introduction to anime\manga (sort of..). it been an amazing success everybody in her class is reading the book with her, the stories are easy to follow and very enjoyable.. Amazing book!!

This is downpat one of my favourite manga series at the moment. It’s so cute and the expressions the artist made for Chi are just so heartmelting! The art is beautifully drawn an in full color. All ages can enjoy this series and especially all cat lovers will enjoy this cute manga series. I can’t wait to read more!

I'm a cat lover and also a manga lover, and Chi's adventures are amazing and make me think about the life of my kittens when they were small. It's a book that makes me laugh!
